Born in 1981 in the south west of England, Peter.R aka Spiral dub originally a drummer, was blown away by the UK's intelligent ambient techno sound of the early / mid 90's in his early teens. It was 1995 and Peter became deeply immersed in the music of artists like Richard H Kirk, The Higher Intelligence Agency, Autechre, The Orb etc and labels such as Warp, Beyond Records and Planet Dog. Many years later a fresh desire to produce music was finally realized and the Spiral dub project was started in spring 2008. Within the next 10 years continuing to collect lots of quality electronica, a move to the east and hearing the sounds of Basic Channel and other quality dub techno, a fresh desire to produce music was finally realized in spring 2008. Peter describes his sound as organic dub laden ambient tech.
