after holding down the controls since 1989 westside label head "b-sides" consistently tours the globe laying down sets in over 40 different countries worldwide. he still manages to find time to lock himself away in the studio and keep his creative output consistently flowing. this release is a fine example and is the first in a series of "b-sides" releases leading up to the release of his up and coming second solo album due to hit the streets this winter. we set things off here with the dub inspired “chubba” which moves neatly with it’s percussive groove wrapped with a deep bouncy sub line, original step and sound clash style stabs to compliment creating a big dancehall vibe. strictly for the head nodders! on the flip you will find “one hate” which is aimed purely at the floor. plain and to the point the beats shuffle nicely why the bass stays minimal punching through the mix. things get deep midway with oldschool style bleeps and dub style vocals as the beats roll on. one for the dj’s!ooops!!! wrong promo text. well, nevermind...
