Karhu is less a netlabel than a project for creating experimental music with regard to classic songstructures without neglecting the techniques (musical as well as technological) used in modern sounddesign. It consists of two core-members and several feature-artists. The sound is very unique and overwhelmingly dense featuring very subtle orchestra, beat, guitar, vocal and turntablism arrangements. The duo is known for very long release schedules. Some songs from the released EP "seven/sixteen" and the upcoming album "sinfonia for the blunt sword" have taken several years of constant efforts to be finished. Karhu is currently also producing music for other bands.
