Lately, the possibility to obtain online music or, in the case of Mexico and other nderdeveloped countries, piracy and illegal trade of recorded music, are not the number one reason for the crisis that the music industry has have to overcome: such as production companies, music stores and distributors, regardless of their size. The disastrous decay in their sales -from which hardly they would rise up again, as it seems- is mainly the consequence of the incompetence to adapt to these times, in which technology does not only allow the information flow to escape from control, but it also has
become a core part of the artistic creation process itself.
