8bitrecs was an mp3 label offshoot from Highpoint Lowlife records
It was started in February of 2002, and was going strongly until march of 2004 when it was shut down after having taken part in the Grey Tuesday protest against the current state of sampling laws.
Thanks to the kindness of Archive.org, who are hosting the media files, it was resurrected in the summer of 2004
