DJ Rise, now working under the various guises of Risey / B-Phat, began music at the very young age of 11 where he received 6 distinctions in piano.

Later on Risey was exposed to electronic music after listening to Jean-Michel André Jarre, and from that day Risey's fascination with electronic music grew. DJing and working in two jobs, Risey quickly saved up for the equipment he needed to begin producing. While DJing Risey secretly dropped in his own productions to see reactions and what people really wanted on the dance floor, and from boot-leg remixes to his own compositions he continued producing. With Risey's background, he does not limit himself to one style of music, but has created ballads and all manner of genres of music.
