Slovenain Dating Sites Response Time

A close Slovenian female friend of mine who is active in the online dating scene asked me about response time - pertaining to emails of course, but that got me to thinking about other aspects of dating as well.

A few questions come to mind -

When responding to emails, how long is too long and considered rude when responding? Consider both those you are interested in and those you are not.

Follow-up phone calls! If you go on a first date, how long after the date should you wait to call?

Is there any harm in the woman calling the man first?

I’m interested in seeing if society has changed over the years and just how response times have or have not adjusted with those changing times.

I’m noticing that it’s becoming quite popular these days [well -- at least, in my country] that some individuals who are non-couples say that they’re “just friends” even when it’s just pure crap. I mean, who are you kidding? Why be a hypocrite and say “we’re just friends” when in reality you both like each other to the point that both of you spend that much quality time with each other that everyone else may consider it anything but platonic. Heh.

I think it’s silly.

I’m sure there are a lot of reasons you can throw at me why you’re guilty of such practice. But let me tell you this, “technicality” will not erase the fact that you are going out with the guy. So, yea. Like it or not, if you agree to spend time with the guy, especially when you have knowledge of the intentions since you guys talk about them, you are already dating him.

I am not saying you guys aren’t friends. I just want you to know that you are more than just friends. Why is it important that you know? So you can level your expectations and yes, be responsible for the person’s feelings as well as your own. There’s no middle ground. It’s not fair for either of you.

Tell me, if this friendship that you have with the guy doesn’t evolve into a relationship, will either of you be able to walk away with your heart still intact and without tears?

He’s Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys

If you are single and dating - constantly trying to talk yourself into believing the excuses your “love interest” is dishing out as to why you can’t have a committed relationship - you need to buy this book!

He’s just not that into you is going to make you laugh, make you angry and perhaps even cause a bit of embarassement by making you feel so ignorant to the obvious signs that are telling you the relationship you’re in is going NO WHERE!

Everyone should own a copy of this book! Relationship or not! Eventually you’re going to have a friend or relative lean on your shoulder and you can just as easily hand them this book. It’s going to be better than the swift kick in the rump you’d like to give them.
