Release Notes

Also on their third CD Stromble Fix continue the insane journey through Punk, Grunge, Deathrock and Psychedelic to the abysses of the human soul. The musical spectrum as well as the instrumentation were extended once more. The Wipers and Killing Joke, but also John Lennon and Pink Floyd are the spiritual grandfathers of this band and its three protagonists, besides, still have the old hardcore punk flowing through their veins. Accordingly the recording was held raw in full intention and only after repeated hearing the metre-high sound walls, compound up to 54 audiotracks, finally strike. Besides, Frank’s hoarse-psychopathic voice is always backed by a driving rhythm group and razor-sharp guitars. “The Eighties Are Over” is a payoff with the annoying and stultifiying 80s year revival and at the same time a confrontation of a forty-year-old man with his own past: Drug addiction, the painful loss of old friends as well as the everlasting search for the own identity are the scars, the eighties left for those three punk rock veterans of Stromble Fix. But now it is time for a new beginning that will be directly longed for in the first song “Dragonfly”.
