Review::
Imagine a place where time and live goes hand in hand with nature waves. This is the world of Po-len. A artist couple living and working in Fuerteventura. This is the first release of Po-len on Direktschall with four wonderful deep ambient minimal tracks driven out of the "Kukka" album release. The first track "Tindaya" is a very moody driven track with warm noise textures and deep pads underlayed with a fine light groove. "120BALAS" is a minimal dry percussion sound driven track with some very warm wide open synth textures and wired sound samples - a perfect afternoon track. "Emu" the third track is build upon some real drum prercussions and elektro held snare variations with the typical synth pad sounds which makes Po-len´s music so unique. "DUNA" the last track is a downbeat tune which makes one hold in the line. To watch to think to realize. This could be the statement. Very deep sub bass sounds which are filtered to fine ambient.

continue mode ep http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/continue+mode+ep/2249 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on direktschall by atmogat

released on direktschall by atmogat
For wonderful Tracks from the artist collective Atmogat. Continue Mode, the titletrack of the EP, is an energetic hypnotizing Techno Track which has fine effectings and also generates a compact rhythmic sound density. The Track DT 440 continues athmosphaerical smoothly where the continue mode Tracks ends, but this time with more room for the Sounds and rhytmic elements. Transzendenz is the third Track and generates an uncanny sound carpet and is a minimal held piece which makes one float till the awaking comes. Who should not become awake the Sleepwalk the fourth and last track could bring one safely home. Electronica and electrified percussion sounds as well as a influence of some electro.
License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2249
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2249

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/continue+mode+ep/2249
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/direktschall/479
cliknologic http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/cliknologic/2248 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on direktschall by [unknown]

released on direktschall by [unknown]
Daumen hoch. Schall the opener begins softly with bleeping sounds and backgrounded industrial patterns rolling into a nice beat tracking. BG 1092 moves into a abstract sound scape driven from high pitched bit sounds and analog filtered synth percussions. The beat is oldschool driven but in addition to the new sounds it offers a deep punch. Second Landscape is a faster track driven from the deep rolling basedrum. With nice filtered bleepy sounds and some crunchy off beat programmed percussion elements this tune offers the right feeling. The string pads which are coming in a distorted way makes this track complete. Techground Zero is classic techno track with miniml influences. Nice beats and sounds arranged well to transfer you into another sphere. Well and the last track Corrupt.Sys. is a very deep minded tune. bass saw and a overdosed modem sounding like a corrupt system integration used by a drunken hacker on high state. Very impulsive mixture of rich and sometimes dense abstract analogue & digital noises, melodies and post-idm beats. He wrote A Little Suite for Christmas for piano in 1980. The main idea of this composition is a dialogue between sound and silence, which is the fully legitimate "member" of Crumb's music. The long pauses between intensive blasts of sound prepare the listener very well to conceive even the subtlest musical passages, and the whole impression is really stunning. This version of the suite was performed at 16th December, at a public concert at Moscow Institute of Journalism and Literature by Pavel Dombrovsky, young and talented pianist from Moscow. He is a laureate of many international awards, and apart from regular concerts in Russia, he also played in England, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Italy, France, Poland and all over the world.

System 100 http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/System+100/2140 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by Sascha Müller

released on top 40 by Sascha Müller
Sascha Müller from Germany is working as a DJ and a producer since 1990, and he is mostly known for his dance-oriented music: house and techno. Though, being extremely productive, he is one of those guys who never limits himself to a one particular genre - so, he tried almost everything in a wide range from oldschool acid to lo-fi Commodore 64 and Gameboy music, including even releases on floppy 3.5" discs! System 100 is a first attempt for Sascha to explore musical areas of silence. Actually, he created this mini-album being inspired by Quiet Zone artists, but it wasn't minimalistic enough to make it there (just kidding). Anyway, all of you who like experimental forms are going to enjoy 15 minutes and 15 seconds of volume at zero music, filled with ultra-minimal drones, very distant field recordings and quiet microwave vibrations.
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, ABSTRACT, QUIET, MINIMALISM, SILENT,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2140
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2140

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/System+100/2140
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
Abstrakt Machine http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Abstrakt+Machine/2138 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by motor

released on top 40 by motor
Abstrakt Machine is an ambient album, exploring the magic of granular synthesis technology. Myriads of audio-grains, both artificial and natural, are all mixed up, creating an abstract and dense cloud, surrounding and covering you like a warm blanket. Abstrakt Machine will help you to explore the whole variety of different sub-genres of ambient music: from disquiet industrial noisescapes to calming and relaxed organic melodias, from clicky pop-up glitch to sterile microwaves. He is making music for as long as he can even remember: playing piano in the childhood, appearing in some teenage bands, and finally he found himself in computer music.
Working with numerous granular loops with automated controllers for filters, effects and pitches, Dave is creating very solid, stylish and beautiful ambient techno. Maybe somehow and sometimes it's a little bit too minimal, but we still enjoy it very much.
Pieces Of The Broken Road can be a perfect sequel for the ambient album Provisions For The Restless Hour, released in 2006 at Sine3pm. Don't forget to check it too.

The result is here - minimal techno (and abstract ambient) with accordion!Deep, groovy, relaxed techno (raw and filling bass-line, sentimental and desperate harmonica melodies); abstract clicks-n-cuts, sudden blasts of accordion; noisy, but elegant sound collages, rudimental clicking beats and live industrial harmonica.
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, ELECTRONIC, TECHNO, ABSTRACT, MINIMAL TECHNO, ACCORDION, HARMONICA,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2136
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2136

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Akkord+I+On/2136
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
Peter Aidu plays Steve Reich - Piano Phase http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Peter+Aidu+plays+Steve+Reich+-+Piano+Phase/2135 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by Peter Aidu

released on top 40 by Peter Aidu
In 1967, Steve Reich composed Piano Phase - a piece of music for two pianos. It was his first attempt at applying the phasing technique to live performance. Two pianists are playing a rapid twelve-note melodic figure over and over again in unison. As one player precisely keeps the tempo, the other speeds up very slightly until the two parts line up again, but one sixteenth note apart. The second player then resumes the previous tempo. This cycle of speeding up and then locking in continues throughout the piece; the cycle comes full circle three times, the second and third cycles using shorter versions of the initial figure.
On October 2006, Russian pianist Peter Aidu performed this composition with an absolutely unique technique. While playing on two pianos, with a left hand on one instrument and the right hand playing separately on the second piano, he was recreating the sounding of two performers! This fantastic act was accurately recorded, and now is available exclusively on top-40.org.You may also watch the video footage of this tremendous performance on YouTube or download the audio in lossless quality at Archive.org.Peter Aidu (1976) is the classically trained professional composer and piano, organ, harpsichord, hammerclavier, lute and percussion performer. His scenic career began in 1991, than Peter won the first price at International Junior Competition of Pianists at Cincinnati, USA. Since than, Peter played a numerous solo live performances at Russia, Germany, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Japan, Taiwan, and other countries. Peter Aidu is also a very authoritative enthusiast and collector of antique keyboard instruments, particularly grand pianos.
Tags:PIANO, CLASSICAL, MODERN CLASSICAL, AVANTGARDE,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2135
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2135

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Peter+Aidu+plays+Steve+Reich+-+Piano+Phase/2135
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472

This is what I called real eclecticism. GA project is powered by Alexey Devyanin, also known as Stud. His music is characterized by the unique mixture of brutal and honest vibes of mysterious Siberian soul and hi-tech technologies, some unpredictable electroacoustical and avantgarde instrumental movements and precise electronic manipulations, strange field recordings, folk cut-ups and XXI century musique concrete. Each time he sounds completely different, but still and all you can always feel the taste of real Gultskra Artikler. Now top-40.org is proudly presenting you some exclusive archival material from GA. The ethno-style of this live session (Gultskra Artikler accompanied with a bongo performer) is atypical for GA, and it could be a nice flashback to the eternal music of Muslimgauze. But don't be afraid, there is enough space for original mind-exploding constructions of Gultskra Artikler.
Tags:ELECTRONICA, ELECTRONIC, ETHNIC, PERCUSSION, ELECTRONICS,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2133
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2133

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Ethnic+Live+2004/2133
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
Teddy Bear http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Teddy+Bear/2132 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by G-Love

released on top 40 by G-Love
The god damn' rave music is dead? Bullshit! Now you have a definite proof. From the heart of Love parade dance movement, the mysterious guru of techno/house dancefloor madness arrives, and he brings this solid smash-hit booster for your dance-x-tatic hardcore hysteria! We don't know much about George, except that he lives in the suburbs of Dresden and he rarely walks out of his recording studio: thanks to the global networking, he is now able to order some pizza or release a brilliant mini-album on Russian net-label all in a few mouse-clicks.He was a sound engineer on a few Cher seven-inches of her early Geffen period and also an active member of rave movement in the middle of 90's, but later he focused on producing records for numerous techno and house musicians in Germany and all over the Europe, UK and even USA on a few occasions. "One day I realize, that I don't have to visit record shop to enlarge my DJ collection - I was producing enough records by my own, like 10 or 20 tracks a month. It was a little bit too much, and I take a break".For almost 10 years. It was a huge gap in his musical career, and George spent this time hanging around, traveling around the world, enjoying jazz recordings from the early 50's.He started making music again last year, and now he's able to share his recordings for free on the internet. "I was always dreaming about it, but in the 90s the only available media for transferring music from my studio to my listeners was a vinyl record. You have to spend some money to make the 12-inch, and that's why you have to earn some money as a compensation. But nowadays I can share my music on the net with any amount of people around the world I can only imagine. For free. Without spending any money. Dreams come true. Finally".So what we got here? Drop-dead gorgeous tech-beat-house megahit Teddy Bear (including extended Club version and the 80's-italo influenced Disco bear sexy mix) and a couple heavy-bass post-rave hits: hard-jumpin' Superstar, powerful Flavour of z drive, and ecstatic body-shaking song I Got You.
Tags:TECHNO, HARD JUMPIN, BODY SHAKING, GAY DISCO,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2132
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2132

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Teddy+Bear/2132
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
Fitz Ellarald plays Erik Satie http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Fitz+Ellarald+plays+Erik+Satie/2129 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by Fitz Ellarald

released on top 40 by Fitz Ellarald
Erik Satie (1866-1925) was a legendary French composer known as one of the earliest forefather of ambient and minimalistic music. His compositions are very popular among the modern classical lovers and they've always been a great source of inspiration for numerous electronic musicians, who made covers and re-interpretations of Satie's tracks. This time, Fitz Ellarald presents his unique and original vision of classical groundbreaking hits of Erik Satie. Two beautiful tracks, accompanied with intro and outro. Tender, flowing guitar melodies, string ambient landscapes, melancholic glitches and crunches, deftly combining the eternal, unearthly beauty of Satie's classical tunes with simplicity and pithiness of consummate composition designs of Vlad Dobrovolski.

Techno No is the only album, ever recorded by this project. Childish, melodic loop-ballades, atmospheric guitar, freakish space-synthesizers, meditative avantgarde movements, chaotic cut-ups, blasts of digital noises, weird string passages. With all sorts of non-existing musical styles in it (minimal glitch humming, slow non-rhythmic dub, abstract turntable sketches, dramatic ambient), Las Kalugas is a musical dark matter and supernova outburst at the same time.Trixa Arnold :: turntables, kalimba, samples, mouth harp, melodeonIlja Komarov :: bass, trifles for bass, voices, sounds, stringsGeorge Bogdasarov :: guitar, samples, Max/MSP, duduk, glasses, Polyvox synthesizerVlad Dobrovolski :: synthesizers (Unost, Faemi, Altair, Polyvox), cymbals, melodeon
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, AMBIENT, ELECTRONIC, ANALOGUE, FUSION,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2127
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2127

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Techno+No/2127
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
Sounds and images from Crete http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Sounds+and+images+from+Crete/2124 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by Crete

released on top 40 by Crete
Here's another installment in our multimedia project, aimed to provide you the amazing audio-visual tool for traveling around the world in your headphones. He describes his own sound as a russian-kosmic-shaman-hypno-contactee style. Hell of a description, but it suits ROZA's music very well. What we really like about the album is that it's almost impossible to characterize it in a matter of specific musical genre or style. This is the music which can be depicted in such terms as good or appealing, or visionary or surreal, but not rock, hip-hop, glitch, negerpunk or whatever else standardized tags are offering...The album opens with a deep, vibrant sound which reminds me the final dark electronic period of Coil. But soon the music turns into some sort of tribal-folk with a heartbreaking chorals, freakish oriental drum patterns, and blurred string melodies which flows in an endless ocean of acoustical noises. The more you listen to this epic ballade-intro, the more you realize that GLitch ov Batumi will settle down in your playlist for a long time. On Irenashvili djan, ROZA exploit the catchy acid-flavored oriental broken beats (a-la Muslimgauze). On Mountings you're drowning in a deepest lake of abstract ambient, and the comprehensive title of Drummers ov God song needs no additional comments.GLitch ov Batumi is definitely one of the best albums we received this year and we're really happy and proud to share this music with you - we hope it's not the latest piece from the wonderful ROZA project. And he already promised to send us more stuff. The following story is somehow quite personal, but it's important to share it with you, because your contribution to the success of Top-40 by no means is less than ours!Top-40 label was established by Motor in 2002. The same year I bought one of his releases, which impressed me very much (horse traX album). In August 2004 we met by accident at the videoart festival in Moscow. In December, Motor launched Urban Soundscape audio-visual experimental festival, and in April 2005 released the first online album at Top-40. Then he invited me to join the team.
We explore the realms of many genres - instrumental and electronic, radical and calming, traditional and experimental - from ultra minimalistic ambient, field recordings, cut-up collages, groovy dub-techno, drones or industrial dance music to crunchy melodic glitch-pop, minimal electronica, rhythm'n'noise free improvisations, experimental tribal, noise, dancehall techno, modern classical, avantgarde, contemporary jazz and so on. In December 2005, Quiet Zone was born, which is now an independent project, dedicated to very minimalistic and quiet meditative music. Finally, now we're standing at the terminal point. Almost four years. Forty releases. More than 28 hours of weird music. It was always about bringing your life with joy. And we believe we succeeded. Eighteen wonderful songs from outstanding artists - old-timers, newcomers and some never-heard-before stuff too. Enjoy, and remember - we can't stop the music!Alexei Borisov + Jeff Surak: Eto bilo takAlexei Borisov and Jeffrey Surak published their first collaborative record in 2003. Three years later they released a second joint album exclusively on Top-40. Another piece is here – freaky, psychedelic lyrics, glitchy noises, bouncy kitchen percussion. The Libarians: Aiden's LamentThe Libarians is a project of Michael Hartman and his friend Sam Bailey (the member of legendary Michigan noise-punk band Snorkel, bass-player and vocalist of The Mel Bay and the founder of Karl Rove). Melodic moanings, country guitar, glitch after-effect - the mood is sleepy, but the song is VERY addictive.Metro_NM: Arab onq (flt)Another brilliant experimental ambient piece from our long-time partner in crime Metro_NM. New style, the same power of insight. You know what I'm talking about.Daniel Maze: National Rifle AssociationSometimes you shoot the technology, and sometimes, you know... The technology shoots you. But Daniel Maze is taking an alternative path — he just steps back and let the music play. And we like it so much. Warm, melodic, clicky pulsating ambient.DJ Nikto: Night cityDJ Nikto is a pseudonym of Artur, who stays behind ROZA project (Glitch ov Batumi). He sent us a whole bunch of really nice tracks — it was so hard to decide which one to pick for this project. Soon we'll share more of his amazing music with you — real smashing hits!Alexei Borisov: Mix OneA solo output of doughty warrior and veteran experimentalist Alexei Borisov. He brings some noise and hallucinogenic beats in the house! Wake up and listen.Michael Hartman: Emi Warren ExpressEmi Warren Express was created by our good friend Michael Hartman. Field recordings of Japanese railway mutate to the paranoid noise-drone loud breakout. For this compilation, Michael also offered us another brilliant track Wednesday, which is now released for free at his own powerful label Kuro Neko Music — check it out!Dave Zeal: Dear Motorist (Part 1 & 2)Another electronic magician Dave Zeal. His trademark style is smooth and stylish melodic ambient-techno. In 2006 he released the full-length album Pieces of the Broken Road at Top-40 — here's another "broken piece" for you.Zhivye Ludi: VesnaVesna means "spring" in Russian. Zhivye Ludi (Living People) is a recent project of jazz pianist and composer Natalia Skvortsova (her Summer Time project was an absolute hit maker for Top-40). Relaxing, airy, melodic jazz. The band features Natalia on piano with Anton Konchakov (clarinet, bass-clarinet), Peter Talalai (drums), Mark Gaidar (contrabass) and Michail Volokh (trumpet).F.S.B.: Digital sleeping pillsA mysterious F.S.B. project features some granular synthesis meditative experimental ambient for your paradoxial fast sleep... Don't be afraid, they will watch for you, while you're watching your dreams.AkkordIon: Revenge of Mongolian Salsa DancersOur answer to Air Drums from Outer Mongolia! AkkordIon is a duo from Ukraine/Kazakhstan, noticeable for the unique musical style — abstract and dance electronica with accordion. Now they go much further in their experiments, and we offer you this atmospheric sentimental groovy laid-back intelligent dance music.TV Pow: Somewhere in OhioTV Pow (Michael Hartman, Brent Gutzeit and Todd Carter) is an experimental underground electronic band from USA — since 1997, they're pretty active on the international musical scene. Check this vibro crunchy abstract noise piece. It was recorded live (as the title suggest, somewhere in Ohio) and edited at Michael's home studio. Quite paranoid, but very nice though.Aleksey Petin: Extract from albumHis musical style is absolutely special and very cognizable — pretty wild and brutal tribalism, analogue synthy wah-wah's, clicky rhythms and deep, visionary surreal atmospheres. Aleksey's latest album Kontakt was a double piece, featuring more than 2 hours of mind-blowing electronica, but a lot of materials were still not included. Here's the extraction.Airsickness Band: Guns for a shot, cars for a blowA chill-out cinematic subproject of our buddy DJ End User License Agreement (EULA). "It was a real pain in the ass for me to think up the name for the new project! And than everything was ready, I checked it on the Google. Damn, some bastards already used the idea in 1984 for their Disposable Air Sickness Band group... I HATE it". Not much to tell about the... hmm... music itself. Check it out.Fitz Ellarald: szFitz Ellarald is the project of Russian ambientologist and capricious composer Vlad Dobrovolski. He is not very active in releasing new music nowadays, but his archives includes many hours of fantastic pieces! Let us share with you some of his glitchy lo-fi tape manipulated melodic drones. Or dronez? Buzzes. Buzzez. Zzzzzzzzzz.Svart1: Das EndeSvart1 aka Raimondo Gaviano from Sardinia nowadays is already quite well known among weird electronica lovers from around the globe. In April 2007, Top-40 was the first label to explore this musician. His debut album davisibiliaadinvisibilia was released almost simultaneously at Top-40 (Russia), Bump Foot (Japan) and Ear-XP Records (Netherlands). Das Ende is a short noisy industrial march, recorded during live concert.Gultskra Artikler: mliniGultskra Artikler is a Russian musician who needs no introduction for sure. This melodic sentimental guitar piece is surprisingly melancholic and calm as compared with his previous more radical, musique concrete output. However, his most recent full-length release (Berezka split LP with Lanterns) also features quite melodic ambient music with instrumental granules. Well, it's always good to hear fresh sounds from your favorite artists.MWDRGS: breeth_54-fAnd finalizing this motley variegated album is a gentle sleepy microwave ambient from MWDRGS. For those who dig it, another huge dose of microwave drugs is available for you at Quiet Zone netlabel. You may wonder — ok, and what's next? Is it the end of the story? For as long as you need our music, we're not gonna stop. We already have a lot of wonderful material we can't wait to share with you! Upcoming year will bring a new story, new decorations, new surprises and of course tons of new music. Stay with us.
Tags:IDM, NOISE, EXPERIMENTAL, AMBIENT, GLITCH, TECHNO, MINIMAL, INDUSTRIAL, DRONE, DOWNTEMPO, ABSTRACT, ACOUSTIC, FIELD RECORDINGS, FOLK ROCK, RHYTHMIC NOISE, CONTEMPORARY JAZZ, MOVIE EFFECTS,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2120
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2120

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/FINAL+compilation/2120
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472

With this radical experiment in the field of inaudible music, you can explore the very subtle and almost immaterial transient between the sound and the silence, the music and the background noise of your room.
Once I wake up in the middle of the night and notice some very quiet, but distinct low humming noise. I explored the room and realized it were loudspeakers. Oh, - I thought. Just some interferences in the electric circuit. I turned the amplifier off. The noise was still there. I plug it off the electric outlet - nothing. I cut off the wires from the amplifier to the speakers, so it was physically impossible for any sound to appear - and it was still there, almost indistinguishable, but very definite. I still never managed to explain that...
Headphones are highly recommended, as you are entering the quite zone. Not mandatory, though, as with loudspeakers you may experience even more drastic effect.
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, AMBIENT, FIELD RECORDINGS,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2118
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2118

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Encens+japonais/2118
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472

This project is unique in many ways: sounding in the best tradition of such highly acclaimed happenings, as Mego or Touch and such artists as Microstoria or Oval, it goes far away, because emotional constituent of music is on the first place, it is not just another piece of random glitchy sound design. Piam was created only by means of analogue equipment: every click and glitch is produced by the manually scratched vinyl records and cut tape loops, all sounds are programmed and composed with analogue synthesizers and devices, guitar, saxophone and trumpet.
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, AMBIENT, GLITCH, MELODIC, FUSION, MELLOW,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2111
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2111

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Piam/2111
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
Night Theme http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Night+Theme/2110 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by A7

released on top 40 by A7
Though Andrey Malshchukoff from small Russian city Kirov is still a teenager, he already spent a few years on making the minimal techno music, and he definitely didn't waste this time. Elementary (EP) http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Elementary+(EP)/2103 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on top 40 by Daniel Maze

released on top 40 by Daniel Maze
Daniel Maze is a young composer from Canada, Vancouver. As he told me about himself, I've been into music all my life. I bet he was! After releasing two brilliant mini-albums on Italian net-label Sine3pm, he delivered a blow again with his Treehugger EP, released on 12rec. And now he presents his fourth release this year (this guy is a real hot rodder, don't you think?), exclusively for top-40.org. Elementary EP is "a must-hear" work for everyone, submerged in lo-fi aesthetics. As a source for these beautiful songs, Daniel used a very short field recordings of an elementary school band, made with cell-phone. These humming, enigmatic, touching, atmospheric ambient songs are so energetic and so primitive at the same time. Elementary is a bright example, of how a very simple concept and idea, provided with a very simple medium of expression, could be a basis for such a powerful, sincere and emotional work.
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, AMBIENT, GLITCH, LO-FI, FIELD RECORDINGS,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2103
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2103

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Elementary+(EP)/2103
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/top_40/472
zanteson http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/zanteson/2102 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on zanteson by Zanoisect

released on zanteson by Zanoisect

License: Creative Commons | by

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2102
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2102

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/zanteson/2102
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/zanteson/471
inferior articles http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/inferior+articles/2032 2025-12-31 6:20:07
released on digitalbiotope by Takeshi Nakamura

released on digitalbiotope by Takeshi Nakamura
db018 _ Takeshi Nakamura _ Inferior Articles

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/2026
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/2026

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/For+now+EP/2026
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/digitalbiotope/455

"A definite, yet absolutely delicious, acquired taste are these five tracks of abstract avant-audio from French duo Drone. A follow up to full-length Hippocamp.net release Désarticulation, mini-album Décorum is a step toward the ambient - rich yet subtle instrumentation creating vast, solid textures of sound."
