Passing Meteorites Randomform is Sorin Paun from Bucharest (Romania) and next to his visual art he is experimenting with electronic and natural (raw and processed) sounds as soundtracks for his paintings and drawings. The paintings, drawings and especially the music are very detailed and all of this is more than just an experiment. Both kind of art could stand alone and could create a specific, marvellous but still advanced feeling. The new EP entitled “Sysma EP” delivers 5 songs and each of them is like a fragment taken from a futuristic fairy tale, telling a story from outer space. Little pieces of crunched and delayed sounds are passing by closely like meteoroids on their way into another dimension. Wonderful textures generate a peaceful mood and surround intelligent rhythmics which work sometimes hypnotical and sometimes demanding. Spain as a country seems to emerge a nice and constantly growing electronic art scene, especially in regards to hightech musicians with an IDM and Electronica passion. Just look at artist like Rec_Overflow, AZ-Rotator, Nikka, Eedl, Fibla, etc. who provide us with brilliant sounds. Sintetic Collage definitely takes a step onto this level. His new release “Concrete Moments” reflects his current state of electronic music productions amazingly. This new EP follows Sintatic Collage's debut “Instantes” which was released on Envizagae Records. The label is run by Miroslaw Majewski who is also known as ENV(itre). The new EP contains 6 tracks and lays somewhere between ambient moods and a atmosphere which supports daydreams. Spherical Journey
Toni Polkowski and Danny Prusseit founded in 2001 the project Atmogat. Now in the beginning of 2009 there going to surprise us with an EP which sounds surprisingly emanzipated.
It's a five tracker EP, and with a runtime from 30 minutes a work by its own Saluta, the first track is a shuffled moody track, which inaugurates us into the soundcosmos of Atmogat. Springtime, the second track works with a vocal piece. The track get thus a techy attitude, which fits absolutely in to the concept of the EP. Neutron Bionic comes along with a repetitive warp and a haunting spherical sound in the background. It's the most powerful track on the EP and should be heard for sure. Esguman and Bianconic, the last both tracks are quite good and are fitting into the EP perfectly as well. In its own, the Neutro Bionic EP is a solid piece of work where you can hear the leitmotif on every track. Minus Abstraction, Plus Perfection.
Huron is Steffen Schröder from Berlin - Germany - and he should be known from his last releases which were published by his homebase Crazy Language. With his new album he is providing 13 tracks of his unique style. This album is clearly embed in an electronica robe like the ones before, but itís more detailed and the space which is created in each track is more structured. Beats which seems to be reduced plus nice dsp-influenced techniques help to follow the marvellous and beautiful soundscapes which often grap these mournful feelings. If you get deeper into this album you will hear a slight and subliminal touch of darkness and itís absolutely stunning how these complete different attributes could be combined so impressively.

Doubtless a great new release and a successful confirmation for the aspiration level of Crazy Language after fourteen releases but carefully listeners will find a comparable trait of sound under a different synonym. Cybotnik delivers a nice debut including seven tracks of cutting-edge Electronica. Most of the tracks command a very nice texture, sometimes more ambient-like and sometimes more industrial influenced. tomo ito is a hellish romantic. he is a romantic of technology, a romantic of rave and dance floors, of groove and drum-machines. he says: "there once was a dream named techno. this word was nearly magic, and music seemed to be foothills of great alps, but it turned out to be the peaks of these mountains. unfortunately, techno was a step, after which we saw only a slope and a way to a flat plateau. but some people didn't want to go down. let us be at a deadlock, but we will be doing well what we love." a 20-minuit fragment of his techno-live in the rat hole - first release of dead rat records - shows us, that tomo ito haven't gone down from peaks so far, and, alas, he would never find a quit from the deadlock.
