The typical club sound - you won't get it here. Radarfilms album '7 not danceable dancetracks' leads you through other worlds, to dream and drift. Sometimes melancholic, sometimes amusing, sometimes just beautiful and sometimes maybe even danceable. Radarfilm combines house and techno with warm and experimental sounds and thus creates its own world. The album also contains two remixes. M-Node contributes a crazy Trip-Hop version of 'On my way', and there is a beautiful vocal-version of 'Housigedark' by Fiend.

Russian musician, poet, audiovisual artist, and science fiction researcher Evgenij V. Kharitonov releases enigmatic electronic music under the project name EugeneKha. His music covers a wide range of electronica; from ambient and experimental to house and electronic pop art. Evgenij has been active in the music scene since his rock music days in the 1980s. Since 2000, he has been engaged in electronic experimental music - both under the name EugeneKha as well as Microbit Project and Yoko Absorbing. He also owns and operates the netlabels Microbit Records (lowbit sound) and Another Hemisphere Records (world sound poetry and audio art). Evgenij also releases the avante garde literary and art magazine called Another Hemisphere (Drugoe Polusharie), and the world sound poetry/video art magazine arTronic. gillicuddy is definitely a man for special releases. Remember his last ep "the repeating thoughts..." on Resting Bell, containing 2 - no! - 4, or better, 5 tracks? "music for moles" contains 10 tracks and this time no track repeats, I promise. The songs were mostly recorded during the "the repeating thoughts..." sessions and they are all beautiful folk-sketches in a pretty rough stage. Lively and full on. Beautiful and heartfelt. The poppiest of dream pop. Shoegaze influenced, guitar drenched melodies accented and supported by samples, honey sweet tone driven vocals and old school dance beats. Two fantastic songs that originate, strangely, from the heart of Dixie.
Although Sonic Squirrel is listing 12 songs, there are only 2 songs (My Sugar Cane and Sugar Sister) on this release. Hopefully this will be corrected by them soon.

You might remember slow by his "room phive"-release on Resting Bell last December, or for the "Love"-EP on Autoplate. If not, slow is the moniker of Sergey Suokas, a russian composer in the fields of techno (as Suokas) and soulful and hypnotic ambient-music (as slow).His new release "dual box" can be seen as a meditation on the "Flower of Life". This geometrical figure is a composition of multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping circles, that are arranged so that they form a flower-like pattern with a sixfold symmetry like a hexagon. In combination with triangles and cubes you get a sacred geometry which has references in most of the commons religions and spiritual ways.Every single track on "dual box" is dedicated to a circle in the geometrical figure. Starting with "chinatown", you get from a very clam and percussive piece to warm multiple guitar-layers, repetitive synth-elements and little miniature compositions. A beautiful and complete concept.And not to forget: Ian Hawgood mastered this release with calm hands and very sensitive ears. Thanks a lot for your work, Ian.

From time to time, we all need a spiritual healing, to refresh our mind and revive our bodies. "The Healer" is all about that. Smooth, easy going, warm and atmospheric, it will chill your braincells as the deep pads morph though time and space, slowly taking you into a utopian dreamworld... Biography of Float: Float is electronic music project created by Vladimir Mihajlovic from Belgrade, Serbia in 2008. He started learning about sound in year 2003 when he had first contact with sound editing softwares like ACID, Sound Forge and Fruity Loops. His first creations were made in year 2004. Vladimir was experimenting with various styles from 2004 to 2008 when he created his own kind of deep music made for enjoying and relaxation. Deep basslines, constantly shifting abstract sfx spiced with digitally modulated leads and glitches, melted into spacey pads and chilling dubby chords is now Float's recognizable sound. Float merges techno, trance, house, dub, ambient and minimalistic influences into unique electronic fusion. Anyhow, none of his tracks can be classified into one genre, it is always a interesting mixture of a few genres. Float is also a member of perspective artist organisation TesseracTstudio based in Serbia which gathers very talented musicians in domain of intelligent progressive trance music. "The Psychiatric Years EP" is rescued material from TCBP, about 4-5 years old, compiled into two EPs. "Vol. 2" contains 8 tracks. All rather short, between 1:30 and 3:30 minutes. And the tracks can be seen as little folk-tales. Main themes are rebellion, madness, loneliness, despair and death. And so the mood swings between dark, melancolic and engrossed. The recording-quality is pretty low but in my ears that gives the record a charming outfit. You can hear footsteps, screaming, radios in the background. But all these elements give the songs a great ambience.Just some words about The Cherry Blues Project: The Cherry Blues Project was formed in 2001 as a soundart project in Argentina. It was created by two members that use the pseudonymns "Cherry" & "Blues". Until today they released a big number of albums and material, mainly focused on experimental and improvisational music.

Do these guys need an introduction? Nicolas Bernier and Simon Trottier are two magnificent artists from Montreal, Canada. The former is rooted in academic electronic music and runs the ekumen platform. The later is a Folk-influenced guitarist, one half of Ferriswheel you know from our compilation. Bernier + Trottier released their first record with us back in 2007 which soon became a favourite to both fans and critics."... et retrouvé en fôret" is the direct successor to "objet abandonné en mer". The principal idea is the same: Nicolas and Simon get together, improvise, talk, record, refine, re-improvise, and so on. Next to Simon Trottier's imaginative and unworldly melodies, field-recordings play a huge role. Just like "objet", "fôret" is a highly emotional project, with strong connections to the Quebecois countryside. All is sewn to quicksilver beauty by Nicolas Bernier. His big talent is contextualisation - underneath wistful and strangely remote melodies, Nicolas mixes field-recordings, subtle synthesizers and certain percussion elements. Bernier mirrors Trottier like a feedback. Eventually, and this is the biggest strength of "... et retrouvé en fôret", improvisations and drones become songs again. Indeed one of our best and most important releases.

Emil Klotzsch has a couple of releases online, all of which are published by wonderful Netlabels including Autoplate, One and Zymogen. We are extremely happy to welcome Emil Klotzsch and Ruediger Krey with a new EP , exclusively released as MP3 download and DVD purchase.
"Through All These Years" was captured to battery-driven HD recorders deep in the woods of the Eifel region, a low mountain range South-west of Cologne. Home alone, Emil arranged subtle piano miniatures. Listening to these recordings via headphones, bass clarinettist Ruedige Krey improvised over Emils' introspect piano dashes sitting somewhere out in the field with wind and birds and rustling leaves around him. All this can be heard on "Through All These Years", especially if you use your headphones for listen.
Emil Klotzsch enhanced the recordings by mysterious synth textures and reworked the piano and field recording stems. The outcome is stunning: Chambermusic, Jazz, Avant-Garde Pop. The later is true most notably for the final track "I See My Own". This track features the magic Werner Kitzmüller with a haunting vocal performance. All song titles are derived from the text, Kitzmüller recites with sepulchral voice.
