Resting Bell is really happy to welcome herzog, a.k.a. Bill Bawden and his latest EP “first summer and the running dream”. Bill’s previous releases on Serein were the first netaudio-works I got in touch with. And you also might know him from his fantastic release on 12rec. So what an honour to do a herzog-release here on Resting Bell.“first summer and the running dream” contains 5 tracks with a complete duration of 30 minutes. Compared to his earlier works “first summer...“ has a more droning, a bit distorted character. The sounds are layered very softly and sublime to a very harmonic composition. The overall mood is quite laid-back with noisy, distorted splinters. The noisy elements are getting stronger to the end of the EP but it leaves still a very harmonic picture. For me a perfect soundtrack of the season. Watching raindrops on the window and feeling wind in the hair.

Floating MindPJE's Thought Process comes to CL as a drastic sound change from the previous releases. Almost it's polar opposite. A release that smells like Autumn and winks at Winter. Just think of a cold sunny day, spent in the beach and let the music flow. Smoothing synths accompanied by acustic instrumentation are scattered throughout the album and with the carefully placed textures, you found the heart and soul of Thought Process. It's simplicity is incredibly striking, proving that even from the most basic ideas, you can pull out surprises and sonic variation. [F.G.]

The super-prolific musician, doesn't just impress you in quantaty, but in quality as well. Tying in with CL's previous release, "Redapt" is a moodier piece of work, that reminds us of the good old IDM days, where the complex and mechanical beats were constantly fighting with beautiful melodies. Acid_Lab is a Drum & Bass producer from Palatinate in Germany. He is into a lot of different styles and subgenres (Techstep, Drumfunk, Liquid…) and has loved Drum & Bass since the 90s. He even started producing back then but had his debut release one decade later, in 2008. It came on the infamous Drum & Bass netlabel Darkland and was widely overlooked. Since then he has gathered a list of releases on T-FREE, Basswerk and Basswerk Files, Black Hoe, Darkstep.org and most recently Syncopathic and Break-Fast Audio. Today his tunes are played by heavyweight artists such as Equinox, Gremlinz, Loxy and Ink; and more of his tunes are forthcoming on labels such as Golden Age and Urban Poetry.

Bypass is pleasure to present you ocp's latest release "Must" - an 5-tracks Gltich/Ambient EP.
Biography of ocpJoão Ricardo (aka ocp) was born in Porto, Portugal.His musical path started at the age of 6 with piano studies which were to be interrupted by a move to Kuwait. Years later he dedicated himself to the electric bass and guitar, as well as to the exploration of tools such as magnetic tape and software trackers.The passage through several rock/metal bands (among which Gangrena) and some incursions in the experimental music field led to the present ocp (operador de cabine polivalente) project.In the advent of the new millenium, he dropped out of Law School and headed to London to study live audio.Back home, he created his own PA company, worked in a Casino (where he's had the opportunity to assist Diana Ross, Bobby McFerrin, Chaka Khan, Wilson Pickett, among others) and did free lance audio engineering.Presently, he dedicates himself to performing live both on his own and with fellow improvisers and to composition/production/experimentation for multimedia; forms Pygar (an A/V duo) with Hugo Olim and participates in two other musical projects: Boiar and F.R.I.C.S. (an improvised fanfare). Throughout his career he's played alongside names like Mikael Stavostrand, ALOG, Tim Hecker, Kangding Ray, Fennesz, etc, and has performed in Holland, UK, Spain, Cape Verde, Mozambique and Portugal. Net-label MixGalaxy Records gladly presents a compilation of tracks, composed by users of MixGalaxy.ru Forum, one for those who like to wonder and ready for music adventures. Abstract: nx001_LiveCode is an experimental album of sound, specifically, sound generated by computer. No music or, at least, not intentionally.
It’s open source music, the code is visible.

Method:
I used a soft version of livecode paradigm with jitlib supercollider. Focusing on four simple generators (with samples) and small variations on-the-fly.
The time has been restricted to a maximum of ten minutes per song.
Post-production: The only post-production was done with Audacity, cutting off parts of silence and normalizing to -0.2bB.
Purpose: The purpose is to explore the livecode as a form of improvisation to generate and organize the sound with the unique interface of the laptop and emacs.

Abstract:
nx002_Automatic it’s a collection of semideterministic organized sound made with the sound computer language Supercollider in emac’s linux system.
Method:
The material is the same as nx001_Livecode:
- Four synths (in this case SynthDef).
- Twelve samples.
Every time one of the synthesizers is initiated its parameters are randomized within a specific range. Therefore we can say it is a pseudo-random play, but not algorithmic, since the style does not use structures ”if … then …”.
Post-production:
The only post-production was done with Audacity, cutting off parts of silence and normalizing to -0.2bB.
Purpose:
Making music without the physical feedback of traditional instruments (piano, guitar, midi controllers, etc..), Using only computer control structures (as in livecode) is a way to free some of the expression of feelings and self to facilitate the manifestation of the cognitive processes in music.
The sound generated automatically and pseudo-random is a greater degree in the dissolution of self. It is, in some ways, releasing the sound of the decisions of the composer.

Eskazed is an electronic music artist from France. He was born in 1985 in Britany (France West Coast) but now he lives in Paris.

Eskazed starts to makes music at the age of 16, with many kinds of influences such as Electronic music pioneers of Warp and Ninja Tune records. He works as an audio engineer with many bands for theirs living mix and working for the France national radio as a producer. His music discovered a love for Abstact hip-hop, Trip-hop and DJ/cut-up, but recently he evolve with his new influences : hardcore and noise music.

He is also a founding member of the French band Yas & the Lightmotiv.

Besides his work on SEM you may know Saito from his releases on Magic Book Records, Kesh Recordings and Gears of Sand Recordings."Candle" is a single 30 minute-ambient-drone-track, and the title fits perfectly to the presented music. Various themes are shifting softly from front to back and back to front. Flicking and shimmering like candle-light. Saito creates a deep and warm sound-carpet and he uses only a guitar. Layering and merging one motive into another, which gives the track an enormous deepness and meditative approach.You can close your eyes and feel really comfortable in this smooth and warm environment. Perfect match for the cold and rainy fall here in northern europe.
