“Sleepless in London” – we stroll through the town. Big Ben is ringing the bells – 2 o´clock. The sound of bells slowly get through the close grey fog to our ears. Morosely statures in the form of deep basses cross our way and lure us into gloomy corners. Like melodies big raindrops are falling down on the black plaster the moon is reflecting in.
O.S.R. is taking us on a journey through the mysterious nightly London. Affectionately knitted basslines and mysterious melodies go along with us on our way along the Themse lying under fog. “Sleepless in London” – scaring and peaceful at the same time. What may lurk behind the next corner?

Kaiza from Mannheim is without doubt the most active Techno-DNB artist in Germany. He was one of the first artists to systematically focus on this style together with his former studio partner amex and actually coined the term “Techno-DNB” in early 2004. He has actively shaped this music and the scene on many levels ever since its official formation in 2005, and in 2009 alone he has produced over 70 tunes together with Shots, Try and Error, Isotop, D-Struct, Bassrk, Eiton, Mefjus and other artists; plus he released over 40 of them in all formats and on numerous labels, including his own digital imprint T3K and his mother label Tilt-Recordings (& T-Files), which he co-founded in 2003, and the affiliate netlabel T-FREE. Aside from producing and releasing technoid Drum & Bass, maintaining his own label for technoid Drum & Bass and playing mostly Neurofunk and technoid Drum & Bass when being booked to events, Kaiza has been covering almost all facets of Drum & Bass in his mixes over the past years, but also Reggae/Dancehall, Dubstep, House, Techno and Hiphop. Furthermore he has been hosting the weekly and versatile Drum & Bass radio show DMF since 2001 and used to organize parties for Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Techno, House and Breaks in the Mannheim area.
Shots is a very talented and crazy producer hailing from Palatinate (near Mannheim) in Germany. He first appeared at the surface of the scene with his fulminant debut “Burning Identity” (together with his long time studio partner Isotop) on T-FREE in early 2008 and then released a handful of collaborations with Isotop and The Phalanx plus three solo tunes on Tilt-Reordings (& T-Files), T-FREE, Wayside and T3K; and he started to occasionally make tunes together with Kaiza in fall 2008. In the course of 2009, the two artists put out 6 straight collaborations and 10 more tunes together with Isotop on vinyl, digital labels and netlabels like Metafiziq, Abducted, Fish Recordings and Anxiety Disorder and of course the already mentioned Kaiza affiliated labels. And still there are many more tunes on the release schedule…

I tried to create scores for computers. Simple instructions for playing with few variables of sound generators, but always having the code available to improvise variations. Trying to each performance is different, partly because of human interpretation, and partly by random processes.
nxScore002 is an extremely simple structure. I try to approach the concept of computer sheet music clearly.
nxScore004 is a small glimpse into the world of granular synthesis. (With inspiration from “scmute” in TecnoNucleo)
In nxScore005 the improviser can only decide when to activate the generators after a warning.
nxScore006 is my particular view of a drumbox.

“El baile de las moléculas” gives name to the new work of Pársec, in which is already their second job published in escala, just a year after of their debut with “Biorretro”. Tracks so intimists and evocatives as Buckyesferas or Curvatures does show us the complex framework neuronal what lives in the heads of these of zaragonzanos artists that the sonorous experimentation does their main ally. Our trip through the cyberspace has carried us to a Nueva Estación, eleventh release of this netlabel. On this point, the cold atmospheres of hot complexion are the space in which the chilean artist Antonio Diáz under the nickname of Pirata is supported to create animated dimensions based on click & cuts and synthetic rhythms. Five track of broken rhythms and experimental character are the most adequate way of transport to arrive at this “new station”.

We continue expanding our vector space through the scalar production of the personal subspace that generate all that independent vector. In our incessant search of different subspaces, we have found one call Javier Rubio. Under the coordinates of architect, investigator and sonorous artist, he got to draw a work sprinkled of broken context changes, click & cuts fragmented exponentially and rhythmic structures of complex character. The final product is this “Condiciones de contorno”, whose form is a continuous work of the part and in which, the context is a broken work on the time. As Domingo Portas said: “It develops an idea, divide it and you will have poetry, add it audio and will be born the music, freeze it and will see architecture”.

When not writing music for chamber ensembles, theater, dance, or film, Daniel Corral likes to relax a bit by making little electronic pieces. Die Laughing is a collection of a few of these. A bit of a departure from his usual work, these are beat-driven, sample-laden tunes.

There are 2 remixes of other peoples' music: one of Iggy Pop's "Dirt," and one of Roy Orbison's "Cry Softly, Lonely One." Also, one track features a sample of Sergei Esenin reading his poem "Confessions of a Hooligan" in Russian.

Angel Galán signs the 5º delivery of this netlabel. This incipient figure of the electronics of Madrid presents us a new work that begins with a track called “funcomputer”, an retro minimalist track that brings us smells of other epochs but with a sound of our days. Besides it comes accompanied by other two remixes of hotter cut, the first one of them focused to the dance floor and the second, ideal for moments of abstraction. This it is one of those cases, in which an apparent simplicity in the composition manages to create the results expected, by the way, it complets an ep of the rounder and attractive. Congratulations and spirit for following launches!
