While much of Volk sound like a searching, 060303 comes forth as a fully formulated work. Norteno influences are much more evidenced in these tracks and the beat is geared more for partying. “Marimba” is a good example as it prances throught the speakers in a festive celebration. Each track flows into the next track as small sound environments are created and evolved. The energy is quite high on this session and stays there. My favorite tracks are a exotic heart-pounder titled “Kukita” and a very funny combo of manic electro-beats and over-stimulated adults called “Porno Pixels”. Sinnan ist ein dokumentarisches H�rspiel von 4 jungen Audioamateuren, die in ihrer Freizeit gerne umherschweifen, um ihre Gesellschaft besser zu verstehen und Grenzen auszuloten. Sinnan kommt aus dem Altdeutschen und bedeutet soviel wie reisen, streben oder wandern. Wandern sollten drei von ihnen: Lucas Holfeld ein 18 j�hriger Sch�ler, Tilman Porsch�tz ein 22 j�hriger Student und Sebastian Helm, die eine H�lfte von Schroeter und Berger. Maximilian Sauerbier, die andere H�lfte von Schroeter und Berger blieb zu Hause, bereitete die Reise vor und stellte die Regeln zusammen. Als Reiseroute wurde ein Teilst�ck des �kumenischen Pilgerweges auf der alten Via Regia durch Th�ringen gew�hlt. Weil wir gro�e Freunde des Pilgerns sind, richteten wir das Internetportal www.mitpilgerzentrale.de ein. “The music is primarily computer generated with some sampling. “Fiesta” uses street sounds and dialoque interspersed with a pounding beat and droning electronic lines. “Diablo” also uses a good amount of latin rhythm among the techno affects. Most of the other tracks are more IDM, depending heavily on computer oriented sounds but still emitting a rare beauty.”Free Albums Galore
“This single (Diablo) is a thing to be recommended to everyone that likes electro music. Diablo very nicely mixes synth-sounds with technobeat. Diablo has unique samples (resembling crickets and other nature sounds) very neatly composed in the Marimba swing. This record is one of my favourite tracks from Volk, and, although the whole LP is a little bit boring (but just a bit  , Diablo is definitely one of its highlights. I quite enjoyed listening to remixed versions of this piece. It started at the beginning of the nineties. Luar conceived some songwriting ideas and Vate contributed in the technical and musical side. The first orientation of their music was rock and from 1997 to 1998 they recorded the primitive versions Soberbia Epiritual and El Hombe Nuevo, with Luar making the lyrics and playing the bass and making the basic layout of the songs and Vate programming and adding the general structure. The project was left alone and later, in 2001, Vate took pieces and samples of those recordings and made the versions that appear in this album, wich eventually became the “official and instrumental” versions of the two original songs. the latest release by catalan artist Nigul (aka Jaume Muntsant). After one year of hard work and being busy with his other project Hermético, Muntsant releases his fifth album until the date.
Maya is a new twist on this dark ambient project. This time Muntsant releases a more aseptic album, cleaner and more minimalistic than its previous. It seems that conceptually Hermético and Nigul are getting closer in terms of economy of media and aesthetics. Despite this minimalistic issues, Maya also contains the list of themes that Muntasnt loves to bring up to the light, such us epic nostalgia, farewell encounters and misterious names of tracks.
Finally, with Maya, Nigul is walking a new path in which the guitar takes a new role on the construction of sonorities. As well there is always a special care on building a narrative flow of hidden ideas, lost stories and all sorts of secrets beneath all the layers of sound structures. Over this two years of work we have been releasing works from artist all around the world. For this special occasion we want to deliver a gathering of works under a common concept.
We asked the artists to work under certain premises. We asked them to try to portray some concepts or ideas on those pieces. Those concepts were based on the idea of a circle or cycle around the world, a journey across countries and cultures. The artists have been working on those ideas from the sonic point of view. Some of them have delivered tracks that represent features from the regions where they live. Some others have based their sound on travelling literature translating text into music. Some others have been working on soundscapes and sonic structures from their territory.
All together the compilation becomes a journey across the world, a conjunction of spaces, structures and scapes from all over the world.
