Another full-length LP released by Mixgalaxy Records acquaints the listeners with one very interesting author, who works both with music and graphical art. Kirill Kara-Banchuk belongs to Russian idm flow. Being an expert in sound abstractions and experiments, as well as a talented minimalist artist he makes some kind of synthesis of inner images difficult for perception and interpretation, transferring them into sounds and sharing a part of his rich and individual inward with listeners. Moods, atmosphere, tracks order and the album design are one big picture, resembling a road or ascend from darker deeps into the light, what was represented in the booklet. Music is accompanied by one video clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2INjUMsHuo), visually demonstrating ideas giving start to the entire album. Dismal, black and white pictures, lonesome figures, pressing walls and overall estrangement perfectly illustrate the first track and prepare the listener for sinking into this very powerful and oppressive atmosphere, which weighs upon him in the first half of an album and changes into more comfortable and warmer sound environment as the release moves towards the end. Strong conception and solid realization provides striking impression on the lovers of genres such as idm, experimental and others of that kind.

Vértice is the new work from Alex Alarcón under his Sustainer alias. After publishing as a producer with various works focusing on the dancefloor during his early years, it´s wasn’t until 2008, that he showed a growing interest in the more minimalist experimental side. Currently centered in the study of random-self generated sounds with modular systems, acustic instruments, and field recordings. Alex debuts for escala NetLabel with a subtle work closer to 12K label aesthetic with the help of Giuseppe Ielasi at the mastering process. These three new tracks suppose a breath of fresh air to our catalogue and confirms Sustainer as an authentic value inside the current electronic scene.

One of these was recently released ('We The Damaged') on the [S27-027] Sectioned compilation on Section 27 Netlabel. so we felt it was time to finally polish these tracks up and get them out for people to hear and the result is the "Fragile Shards" mini LP. "Fragile Shards" is not meant as a single release, but more as an accompaniment to the "Ceremony After Amputation" album, so that is the intention for this Deluxe Edition. For you to hear the album as it was meant to be and all the ideas that were behind it. The full 'Ceremony After Amputation' album has also been cleaned up sound-wise to the best we possibly could, the only master copies were live recordings so there were never others. This will also be our final release as 'Nonima & theAudiologist', we are dropping this combined alias and moving onto another more 'unified' project. We are sure you will find us... “This release from Vate is really top notch stuff. I dont know if its just cause i have been out of contact for a while, but this really just hit the right note with me. The first track (“Turismo”) is just really trippy and really reminds me of the “trancy” stuff from the early 90’s with a 2007 overhaul. The second track (“Orient Stress“), which is also featured on the previous release from Vate, has a pulsating tribal rhythm with growling basslines set to a slamming breakbeat. Almost industrial in some aspects. These billowing basslines continue through to the next track which is also a standout track.
“Hertz” drops into a more minimal-IDM style and it slowly progresses into more distorted IDM sounds from here onward.
Overall the album is fantastic and its highly recommended. Even if its just for the first few tracks as not all of them will appeal to everyone.”

Derrick Hart is an American musician. You might know him from his "Songs From A Cross (The Sea)" EP on 12rec, a release in which Derrick shows great musical talent and a really fantastic sense for song-writing and melodies.With his "fall asleep to this" EP he goes a more experimental and meditative way. The five tracks are mainly based on vocals, even though there are no actual lyrics. "kontakt" and "when someone loves you no more" are performed only with his voice, captured with a contact-mic, processed and converted. "when someone loves you no more" begins things with a profound wailing on behalf of anyone who has ever suffered before blooming into some incomprehensible sonic victory. "emporia", "colors that surround you" and "kontakt" are beautiful melodic miniatures and "wilderness of the city" ends it all with strings and a relentless, hypnotic groove. But always is Derrick's voice as the key element in each song, tying everything together.To follow Derrick's advice: The EP serves as a meditation tool to listen to before sleeping. So plug your earphones in and fall asleep.

Space ModificationAmbient music is dominated by long and spherical soundscapes. This kind of music seems not to require a lot of attention, but if you listen to ambient music in the right mood and in the right place you can feel how it catches your subconscious mind and how time and space merge. XZICD's music has merged time and space. He has a very sensible feeling for using filters which are controled in real time. Especially, the tracks „The Crest“ and „Ephemera“ show his detailed love for modified sounds. Wide textures from outer space are balanced well with forthcoming erosion-like sounds. This offers a great dialog and it keeps you listening advertent. XZICD has to offer more. The track „The Sun On your Lips“ is the proof. Starting with bloomy sounding pads the track develope a thought-provoking atmosphere underlined by heavy beats before the track roll up itself and gives a reminder of the beginning. Good music irrespectively from genre, time and space diserves always attention and I would like to recommend XZICD's tracks here because the EP has some more surprises. If humans settlement in universe come along with such music I will be there. [DNN]

Flora & Fauna is the eleventh release by Russian artist Sergey Suokas. After many releases in labels all around the world this ambient experimental artist presents Flora & Fauna at Audiotalaia. This short EP has been produced using different soundscapes and field recordings from cities such as Stockholm (Sweden) and Berlin (Germany). Slow combines an abstract approach on sound experimentation with layers of recorded soundscapes. The mix of non controlled sound sources with the controllable scope of electronic sound provides an interesting space in which textures, drones and more musical structures merge together forming a strange atmosphere of introspection.If in Fauna de approach is the one described above, in Flora, Suokas develops a more electroacoustic composition. On this track we can hear combined melodies using traditional instruments, drum kits, pianos and string lines that, as well, are combined with found sounds and soundscapes.Truly a beautifully crafted work that gives the best of this artist. Enjoy it.
