Instruments similar to the guitar have been popular for at least 5,000 years. The six string classical guitar first appeared in Spain but was itself the product of a long and complex history of diverse influences. Like virtually all other stringed European instruments, the guitar ultimately traces back thousands of years, via the Near East, to a common ancient origin from instruments then known in central Asia and India. It is distantly related with contemporary instruments such as the tanbur, setar, and the Indian sitar. The oldest known iconographic representation of an instrument displaying all the essential features of a guitar being played is a 3,300 year old stone carving of a Hittite bard. Although all the quality was there I did not feel it suiting the label sound too good. Fortunately, the album found a proper home with ideology.de early in 2009. When it turned 2010 Vlad was in contact again, this time pulling a collaboration LP with vocalist GALUN out of the magic hat. Sergey Galunenko aka GALUN is a former beatbox artist that moved from underground Rap to Pop, experimental Electronica and contemporary composition with stunning success. "IN FRAME" is the name of their red hot full-length as a duo - and this time I made sure to fix a release. What we get to hear on "IN FRAME" is a mixture from Hip Hop beats, quixotic Pop melodies and precisely these mesmerizing Postrock motives I was fond of with "TESAURUS" already. The whole production is dense and warm and full of details and influences. Neo-Krautrock acts like Fujiya &amp; Miyagi, To Rococo Rot or Caribou might spring in mind and especially in combination with GALUNs' decent vocal performance, the solo works of Thom Yorke have to be cited. The frontcover comes from US-American collage artist Brandi Strickland. “Psychotic Pop Light” is the San Sebastian’s duo Biconnection work presented in this tenth reference of Rawmatroid Club. Three different stories told under the same original concept, which include a version of Kino International and a cover design by Jon Garcia Rodriguez
“My Pop Machine” seduces us with its beauty from beginning to end, in an electronic mix of breaks and a personal melody hard to forget.
In “The Light You Give Me” we heard a continuous percussive rhythms that mixes melodies and arpeggiated atmospheres, perhaps the craziest track of the whole EP.
“Psychotic Happiness” is the third theme: power and a great display of energy, an entire show of positivism that makes music marked by the personality of the duo.
As a bonus, in this tenth release of Rawmatroid Club, includes a version of “My Pop Machine” by Kino International, in which preserving the essence of the original track adds the characteristic sensitivity and emotional subtlety of the also Basque artist.

On March 1, 2008, came to light Rawmatroid, an electronic music netlabel created for share freely and for free over the Internet. Since the publication of our first EP, it’s been 2 years of good teamwork, of bringing together young artists and of pursuing little dreams. 24 months thar were long enough for much and where have converged 11 references, a dozen producers, 3 graphic designers, 2 visual artists, and 2 showcases where people could enjoy and have fun with the magic of Rawmatroid live.
Today we celebrate these 2 years in a very special way: collecting a series of tracks that show the spirit that we want to transmit from this netlabel. We talk about music without hang-ups, independent, personal and creative that can be shared and enjoyed in the absence of prejudice. 18 tracks with 18 different perspectives, in which each of the artists that make up this VVAA shows their own personal understanding of electronic music.
Today, 2 years later, in Rawmatroid we continue with the same enthusiasm with which we started the project, and with even more desire to continue to share good music with the world. To the musicians, listeners, websites, designers, photographers, visual artists, clubs… and all of those who in some way or another way are part of and you believe in Rawmatroid: Many thanks! We keep going.

Now I have the pleasure to welcome TIOA on Resting Bell with a wonderful new work, mastered by Ian Hawgood."As it is" has an enormous warm and dense sound. You'll find some elements you know from "Unknown Language" like the repetitive melodic motifs over the foundation of droning, growling sounds. But for me "As it is" also sounds like a massive step forward. And massive is the keyword: The sound is one of the thickest and richest things I've heard for a while. When I listen to the pieces the best comparison coming to my mind is the black monolith from "2001: A Space Odyssey". Or the fantastic sound-design from Danny Boyles "Sunshine". It sounds like something really elemental and physical. And so it is hard to point out one special track or part. The drones and melodies are moving slowly as one organic flood of magma, crawling further and further. And on top you have little scratches and crackles, shimmering and reflecting like the sunlight.In the end I would like to recommend you two different possiblities of listening to "As it is". First is really loud with headphones.
