“For Nam June Paik” is a concert recording made on November 21, 2008 at the Nam June Paik Art Center in Yongin, Korea. In these solo concerts I explore the performance space’s resonant properties through feedback from amplified percussion and analogue synthesizer. In a sense, the real instrument being played here is the space itself.
I named the piece “For Nam June Paik” because this was played in a room which had his New York studio installed there, and I felt like I was in his presence, in his space playing for him.

He taught me how to plug patch cords and fiddle knobs to wring squawks out of the Moog Modular Synthesizer. I was earning a hand-rolled degree in Creative Studies so I added torturing the Moog to my curriculum.
To me the Moog was a machine for making weird noises so I pushed it into uncharted territories of sonic strangeness. I didn’t emulate any musician but indulged in pure sonic experimentation. I taped a handful of tracks and called my album “Babie’s[sic] First Words” Twenty years later my daughter renamed it “Boogafoo Music”, which stuck.

SLS
THIS VIBE – PROMO
(LRRSLS022)DP
released 18th December 2008
Tracks:
A.) This Vibe – SLS vs Spiral Soundsystem (with bala Damon R-P Leftwich)
B.) Breakblip – SLS (featuring. BazBaz)
Biog:
SLS is a free – spirited female electronic artist who wanders Australian coastlines indefinitely in the search for inspiration, excitement and whatever else she finds on her journeys. Her nomadic lifestyle influences her approach to music production, which makes her non- loyal to the one genre, but rest assured there will always be broken beats, heavy basslines and dubby vibes in the mix. Being so passionate about so many genres, its hard to pinpoint her main influence, however, Drum N Bass, Dub, Dubstep and Breaks is what she connects with best!
After years of gaining inspiration whilst working on boats overseas and in Australia, SLS decided to come home and study her passion, Audio, which has lead her to a career in Live Sound Engineering and advanced her in music production, and collaborations with others.
There are no boundaries in genre, tempos or samples used when it comes to the next track this girl produces…. You will never know what's coming next!
Mastered by:

Track A collaboration with Brett Caporn, vocals by bala Damon R-P Leftwich.
Track B collaboration with Stephane Benchemol

Teed believed that the earth was not only hollow, but that we live on the inside surface. Subterrestrial channels atmospheric drone doom sounds for this outing.
Tags:EXPERIMENTAL, DRONE, DARK AMBIENT, DRONE DOOM,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/12113
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/12113

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/We+Live+Inside/12113
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/Subterrestrial/1522
Siliziumhttp://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Silizium/12112Sat, 02 Apr 2011 18:23:18 +0200
released on phonocake by Trans Alp

released on phonocake by Trans Alp
Trans Alp is back with new influences. We witness his 2010er version of electronic Dub and diverse steps here. The EP goes a step further whilst the musician helps itself with a mixture of "sawtooth rag shredder" and fragile electronica aestetics at the same time. Unusually voluminous, yet clear and structured it delivers his own definition of the current 'hype machines', utilizing digital and analogue machines.
Tags:ELECTRONICA, IDM, DUBSTEP, DUB, DOWNBEAT, MP3, TORRENT, EP, RECORD, 2011, VINYL,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-nd

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/12112
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/12112

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Silizium/12112
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/phonocake/624
Comer y Dormir Vol. 1 : »SUEÑOS«http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Comer+y+Dormir+Vol.+1+:++>>SUENOS<12111Sat, 02 Apr 2011 17:56:56 +0200
released on phonocake by Tinitus y Sofi Casanova

released on phonocake by Tinitus y Sofi Casanova
Our friend and sound designer Tinitus from Montevideo is back. Youri Tkatchenko alias TKY put a lot of passion and energy into his latest work. The result turns it into a versatile longplayer, named “Memories From Future” with eight emotional and varied tracks. The album was produced detailed and intense, and demonstrating a modern musical poetry. The atmosphere of the album embraces the listener and escorts him in his own world of thought. A very convincing production.

The fragile, sentimental voice of Boris Posavec assures from the beginning, that you have real artists here, who really have to tell something. "Legions - Across These Oceans" throw us in a log flume, which has a lot of content. Driving basslines and exploding beats make this song to a real club killer. The Track "Waterside" convinces with "covenantesque" sequences and a melancholic atmosphere, the vocals discreetly in the background, making place for precisely programmed rhythms. We're diving deeper into the track "I hate Your Evolution", which shows clearly, in it's shortness, that BLAME doesn't need much space to spread its word. Like a refreshing shower on a sticky day seems "Unless (Violent)", which is enriched by female vocals, next to Boris' voice. The following tracks are instrumental songs, which have a lot to offer too. So inhale deeply and plunge deep. "Waterside (Hypogeum)" offers an interesting alternative version of "Waterside", enriched with techno-elements."Water" offers a mixture of electronic dance music, which simply makes fun. A symbiosis of awesome broad arcs of melody, catching vocals and perfectly attached loops. A must-have for electro fans!
Tags:IDM, ELECTRONIC, ELECTRO, EBM, SYNTHPOP,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-sa

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/12108
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/12108

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Water/12108
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/Ionium/1419
Convergent Fieldshttp://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Convergent+Fields/12107Fri, 01 Apr 2011 23:29:08 +0200
released on Ionium by Blame

released on Ionium by Blame
With their debut album "Water" the serbian electro-formation BLAME has already created a pearl of electronic music, which gained a very big fan community, especially on the internet. With the follow-up "Convergent Fields" mastermind Boris Posavec ties in with the first release and makes the logical next step.Because "Convergent Fields" is an album for wallowers of virtuosity. The Arrangements are entirely, no sound has been chosen randomly, the love for the detail is searching it's peers, with every new listening there is something new to discover and over all the unique voice of Prosavec is floating. BLAME succeeds in the tightrope walk of catching the listener from the first second and making the songs catchy, suitable for clubs and unmistakable.Like tessellations the numerous details build every single song, the 14 songs build a homogeneous album. A musical post-apocalyptic world is created, in which technology seems to climb on the top of evolution and the human race has to knuckle down. No escape, no hope. A world only BLAME can create. Because they succeed in what only a few bands succeed in: creating their own unmistakable sound. In a time where the music scene gets flooded by thousands of copies, this is an achievement high to estimate.
Tags:IDM, ELECTRONIC, ELECTRO, EBM, SYNTHPOP,

License: Creative Commons | by-nc-sa

m3u: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/m3u/12107
zip: http://sonicsquirrel.net/get/release/zip/12107

Release page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/release/Convergent+Fields/12107
Label page: http://sonicsquirrel.net/detail/label/Ionium/1419
