A continuous, hour long piece split into eight parts.
Slow, really slow, expansive atmospheres and bells.

The music is generative:
each note is played in a long loop, the length of each loop if different for each note, so although the music may seem to vary only slightly, it never quite repeats itself.

Again, the songs titles are named after Trans-Neptunian Objects (TNOs) - small planetoids and other objects in our solar system whose orbits are on average greater than that of Neptune.
These objects are in turn named after characters from Greek and Pacific island mythology.
Seven is the last album whose songs will be named in this manner - for now at least. While there are many known TNOs, only a few have been given proper names and I have used them all on these first seven albums!

The idea of the experiment is quite simple: to produce an album in a real-time mode with each song created and recorded from scratch within as short as two days. The countdown started on September 21, 2009 and lasted till October 15, 2009. During the time of the experiment, the band kept on uploading a brand new track every two days for everyone to listen to. Every PFS fan could get involved into this unusual experience via interaction with the band in blogs and social networks.
Pushed to the very limits of mental, emotional, physical and creative capabilities, PFS managed to create not just an album, but work that can be undoubtedly regarded as their best to date. 10 brand new songs fully convey the band’s diverse musical spectrum, from sensual darkwave ballads to hard-hitting electro gothic tracks.
Now as the experiment is over, all the tracks have undergone remixing and mastering, which revealed a lot of new nuances to the music.
The final version of “PROJECT:RENTGEN” additionally features a Russian version of “My Secret Friend” and three remixes produced by fellow musicians of Alpha Point, X-ti and Elektronnoe Oblako.

Formed in 2006, Mezzamo has to date released a Russian-language album 'Mnogotochie' and an English-language single 'Everything You', which received lots of positive reaction worldwide. The band was named the best newcomer of the international indie festival Stereoleto 2009 and nominated for the Undeground Act 2009 award. Band's video clips full of vivid emotional imagery can be seen on various Russian alternative TV channels.
Mezzamo seamlessly combines all the great things from the 80s new wave era with a stylish indie pop extravagance of the 90s. With Shura Zhuravleva's gentle and compelling voice weaving through the music, Mezzamo is doubtlessly the best antidote against the grey indifference of the outer world.
It's rather difficult to point out the apparent parallels for those who like getting things shelved, but placing Mezzamo somewhere between Blondie, Annie Lennox and Saint Etienne might be a good idea.

This intriguing grocery, closed for ages, has been decaying and the outdoor sign is losing its letters. Originally, the sign read "ALIMENTATION"; then, after a few years, the "M" became a "W", turning upside down, the "I" fell, and so on... Today, all that is left is "A EN TIO".
The sounds in this work portray the decay process, the rough forces of nature and the passage of time (something we're all familiarized with, although we tend to ignore).

Due to technical reasons we are unable to provide high bitrate (320 kbps) tracks for this new release. We apologize for that. But the whole album is so enchanting that I thought it deserves to be released anyway. So I sincerely hope you won't blame us for the low bitrate and enjoy this really well produced music. All new tracks are considered for the next compilation release, NEW 8.0. Regular workshops and master classes are organized for active members. In December there was a sold out conference in Het Burgerweeshuis (Deventer) at which 80 N.E.W. producers had a chance to further develop their production skills under the guidance of (a.o.) Nobody Beats the Drum, Kubus and Pitto.

NEW is a platform for producers and electronic music from East Netherlands with the specific goal to discover and develop new talent in this field. There are many talented producers in East Netherlands that otherwise would not be heard. NEW is devoted to the development of these producers, both in the studio and on stage, by offering showcase performances, organizing workshops and releasing a new compilation every year. NEW is a collaboration between productiehuis ON, Het Burgerweeshuis and Doornroosje and has been made possible with the help of the municipalities of Nijmegen and Deventer.
