In the context of evolution, certain traits or alleles of genes segregating within a population may be subject to selection. Under selection, individuals with advantageous or "adaptive" traits tend to be more successful than their peers reproductively—meaning they contribute more offspring to the succeeding generation than others do. When these traits have a genetic basis, selection can increase the prevalence of those traits, because offspring will inherit those traits from their parents. When selection is intense and persistent, adaptive traits become universal to the population or species, which may then be said to have evolved. Scientists who do experimental genetics employ artificial selection experiments that permit the survival of organisms with user-defined phenotypes. Artificial selection is widely used in the field of microbial genetics, especially molecular cloning.

Dust Particles, Volume Two, is an EP of tracks specially dub tracks, from some of the finest, up-and-coming artists, in the online dub community. Whether selected by Pete Cogle, or specially created for this release. Angel Dust Records presents a very chilled sub selection for your ears to enjoy.

Dubsalon is an artist who’s already been played on Pete Cogle’s Dub Zone Podcast, and who also has a full length release: Durban Chamber, on the excellent Id.EOLOGYlabel based in Germany. Dubsalon provided this track specifically for this release. From Miramar, Argentina, he turns the mixing desk into his favourite musical instrument, combining old-school gear like fx pedals, preamps and compressors with modern space-age electronic equipment, tweaking it all until he makes the dubby magic happen.

Pywll Phoenixis a pseudonym for musical productions and performaces by Paul Thomson, of British Columbia, Canada. Born in the early 1980′s, his introduction to underground electronic music and culture in 1998 changed his perspective on how people expressed and explored themselves through music. After experimenting with DJ-ing a few years later, Paul soon realized a desire to compose and produce electronic music. This track was selected by Pete specifically for this release.

Stoger, aka Dylan Lustig, is from Brentwood, in the Bay Areas of California, USA. Stoger produced this track specifically for this EP. We think that’s rather cool! You can find Stoger at Facebook, Soundcloud, Reverbnation and lots of other cool places.

Down The Dog, aka Savage Henry, is from Tampa, Floria, USA. He describes his activity as “rearranging the sounds I’ve found around me”. This track was selected by Pete specifically for this release.

Amygdala Projectsis the stage name of László Néder from Hungary.
He has been playing the guitar for 20 years and is a member of a rockband called TerraLuna.
He started to making electronic music about 5 years ago, first time just "for the living room".
In 2008 he began to make live acts and debut in clubs of Budapest, and in 2010 on biggest festival of Hungary ( Sziget Fesztivál, Cöxpón Ambient sátor ). His style is a mix of ambient, experimental, drone and electronic music.

Having contributed with the track "Cubichord" for the latest Crazy Language compilation, alongside a trippy video interpretation for it by Lasal, the italian duo Plaster unleash their brand new EP on the Berlin based netlabel, entitled "Soyuz".

Releasing works on labels such as Kvitnu, Brainstormlab and an upcoming collaboration with Stroboscopic Artefacts for the Stellate series, the duo’s characteristics, familiar to their strong fan base, are all here: the cold and rhythmically millimetric placed beats, supporting the always present, spacious and surprising electronic melodies, leaving yet room for dub influenced sonic scapes to emerge.
