Trivia: The cover and title are a tribute to Schulze Irrlicht. When I was seventeen, one of those special people that come and go in your life gave me the vinyl Schulze. In turn, this year appeared the cd of La LÃ©gende d'Eer of Xenakis. Along with reading Silence, Cage, this would form in my young mind a kind of altered sense of perception of the music that survives until now.

From the vast area of Siberia/Russia, a new dub sound is created. Kirill aka Dub-I has been composing and recording electronic music for the last 5 years, keeping his productions hidden from the mainstream. Inspired by the Rastafarian movement, he dares to combine the roots/reggae dub with the modern sounds of his environment, creating irie soundcsapes, pushing the dub as we know, it into new unexplored areas.

Dubophonic is proud to present Dub-I's "Creation" as the first release. The name of the album symbolizes not only the birth of our new netlabel, but also the birth of a new sound. His album, released only in digital format, aims to lead all sound-travellers to adventurous dub journeys of experimental ambiance. Dub-I's special vision on dub music is to fill the heart of each and every one of us with love and peace, through the earthly vibrations and the deep musicality of his tracks.

The ten tracks, of which four are just over two minutes long, are different than the conventional style of dub, as we know it today. Nevertheless we should be proud of his musical innovations, since dub is all about experimenting. Enjoy and meditate!

It all started a few years ago in Argentina in the “Lavadero Records Dub Temple” when some childhood friends were sharing their passion for “di roots & kulcha music” and exploring the dub sounds and the Jamaican tradition. After some time William, Nacho, Leo, Pato and Herno moved to another place called “Cuca Roots” where they recorded some dubplates included in this album (Dub control skank, Herbsman shuffle, Roots & kulcha and Dubbing time) and now they are building a new studio called “El fuerte dub foundation”.

Past, present and future are represented in their sounds. Their first album is a musical playground, where analogue vibes meet the new waves of the 21st century dub vibrations. Their gear is whatever is available, some time analogues other times digitals, mixer consoles for the overdubbers, a turntable for the vocal samples, sometimes a Kawai drum machine from the eighties. “Don’t forget we are children of di third world so the gear its a few years delayed or its too expensive but this is not a problem to continue with the positve vibes mi amigo the creator allways provide!”

Psychadelik Pedestrian follows his [album artist=Psychadelik Pedestrian]Transient[/album] LP with this 11 track album which includes 9 brand new originals and a new remix of Cosmos. Blending Psychadelik Pedestrian's trademark mix of instrumental piano, strings, breakbeats, old school ambient jungle and strings with contemporary dubstep and chillout grooves, the album features two vocal tracks alongside the more traditional instrumentals and builds elements from Psychadelik Pedestrian's earlier tracks with the electronic synthesized sound of Transient.

Catch My Fall combines the powerful vocals of Sassygal with mellow backing harmonies by SackJo22 and ventures into an uplifting pop dance sound similar to Upside Down. Empty Lines is a slightly slower track featuring the beautiful tones of MyVanillaWorld accompanied by slightly melancholic piano chords. The instrumental tracks explore the many genres of electronic music produced by Psychadelik Pedestrian over the years while keeping a strong focus on melody, and cover a wide range of emotions from the delicate, reverb-coated piano chillout of Raindrops and soaring, atmospheric pads of Flight Of The Geese, to the sinister dubstep of Cyberstalker and ominous, eerie In Suspense. A variety of influences lie behind the tracks in the album: the title of Fifth World, a drum and bass track with spaced out, new age riffs, is a subtle reference to the end of the 13th b'ak'tun of the Mayan Calendar which occurred while the track was being written in 2012, while Telford Court is a throwback to PP's university days and features a 1990s breakbeat influence.

The new longform ambient album from The Ambient Visitor, a side project of BFW founder Bing Satellites.
A continuous, 57 minute piece split into three parts.
The music is generative:
each note is played in a long loop, the length of each loop if different for each note, so although the music may seem to vary only slightly, it never quite repeats itself.
I decided, perhaps because this is the thirteenth album, to start off in a darker mood. However, the key changes from the minor to a brighter major around half way.
The tracks on this album (and albums to follow) is named after Apollo near-Earth asteroids, objects whose orbits cross that of Earth.
There are many hundreds of known Apollo asteroids, though only a few dozen have been named officially, so I may run out of names from this list as quickly as I did with TNOs.
