Live Volume is a live-recorded dark ambient 6 track compilation, specially prepared by different friend musicians.
Anarytmiczny Sinus Ale Noisemalistick Silnik B: Profili was recorded in October-November, 2011, for the famous world calendar date: 11.11.11 (never before and never after).
Trotskyism_titles#2 (music for film) was recorded in January, 2012.
Maggie Spring Theme was recorded in February, 2012, for Margarita Alexiy-Solovyova's birthday as a sound present.
Hard to Explain the Silence was recorded in April, 2012, and Insufficientia Cardialis Acuta was recorded in May-June, 2012, both as soundtracks for Ian Licht's film METER.
Oil-Blooded Bird was recorded in July, 2012, for Oil-Blooded Bird album which is dedicated to Nature Rights and against technical violence.

This is my response David Lowery’s ridiculous rant on the Free Culture movement where Lowery conflates illegal file-sharers with Free Culture. Beyond blaming the deaths of Mark Linkous and Vic Chestnut on file sharers, Lowery just doesn’t have the simple grasp of what Free Culture is all about. The Free Culture Movement does not believe that artists should not get paid; we only believe in sharing the work we produce without the stigma of money. The quote included in the track goes as follows:

What the corporate backed Free Culture movement is asking us to do is analogous to changing our morality and principles to allow the equivalent of looting.

Bored of the UK club scene, Cellar took a time-out in Switzerland in the mountains of Murren, spending the summer in a small chalet. Isolated from everyday life, the specialist for tough breaks developed a new electronic sound, created with a mac book and a microphone only. “The sound is influenced by childlike pop music, brought by the vast nature of the Swiss alps”, he tells. Mixed with my club background, the sound is amazing!” Indeed, Cellar neglects the common structure of dance tracks and focuses on naive melodic songs. What’s next? Off course, returning to his headquarter in London and check out the new sound with his homies. “Those tunes for Electric Brixton? Man, don’t know. Guess, some friends have to remix the stuff” (smile).

The story of Djirbil and Faida is like a fairy tale and is just as amazing as their music. Djibril was born in the suburbs of Paris back in 1986 and started making music by playing guitar, bass and drums in punk rock bands in the north of France and Belgium, while later he landed from punk to reggae/dub/jungle through some friends who were operating a sound system. The other half of the band, Faida AKA Sister Raphaelle, was born 1986 in Mamoudzou, Comoros, between Madagascar and Mozambique. She started singing from childhood, influenced by the soul of the African music. 1996 she arrives to France to live in the suburbs of Paris.

The two got closer together during one of their gigs as members of the Acoustic Groove Orchestra and their love story has led into marriage. Their new life was accompanied by the creation of a new band, 2 years ago. Since then they are composing and recording their own music in their own home studio under the name of Zion Dirty Sound.

Their music is an amalgamation of different styles and is the result of the different cultures they both represent. The African/Comodian roots blend with the Europrean/French music, all fused nicely with arab/indian/latino culture, influenced by their social life and their travels around the world. Add a touch of dub and you got magic going through your ears!

“Fils d’ Abraham” is a compilation of Zion Dirty Sound’s best music from previous releases and from tracks scattered around the internet, plus we exclusively included four brand new tracks. Load them on your media player, press the play button and embark on an ethnic journey of irieness. I’m really glad to present another great Ambient / Dark Ambient / Drone release on Chase output. This new one is by german artist Christian Fiesel who has already released several albums and EP on Somehow Recordings and Webbed Hand as well. The music on this “Gravestone Alley” EP is dense, cold, glacial. Here are the words of the artist himself about these works: “The EP published here was created spring 2013 and is part of a bigger series with treated voices embedded in spooky spoken words and ghostly choirs. The plot of the EP is talking a walk through a cemetery of all those human loses occur due to technical and human flaws with new technology (i.e. Chernobyl in “Winds Of East”). If there’s a musical direction besides of “experimental” than it might be kind of ambient/dark ambient.”

With these 6 tracks, you can expect ethereal atmospheres interspersed with strange and distant vocal elements like if the listener was drowned and incarcerated into a parallel universe made of oppressive liquid or gaseous forms without any chance of retrieval. This music is designed for headphones listening and is aimed to let your imagination construct its own acoustic prison. Paradoxical, isn’t it?

Motif started life during a very creative period in February and March 2013.
During that time, I was rehearsing for upcoming gigs and experimenting with various set-ups - basically trying to have as many options with as little equipment as possible.
I ended up with the laptop and mixer, a small keyboard and my smallest guitar (plus ebow).
All the music on this album was improvised using this set-up and as I plan to improvise the live sets I play, this is fair representation of what to expect when I do play live.
