burningboy is a bohemian, notorious character from Brno’s culture scene, enfant terrible of Czech electro and you can hear him every even Saturday evening in his burningDOWNtheHOUSE show on RadioR.cz. Penetration is the third album after SUFFER4BEAUTY and moisturize. It bares 8 songs of his own, a remake of Rihanna’s hit single S&M in collaboration with a producer called Not:For:Kids and burningboy’s featuring in Panacik’s Struny (of Mrakodrap album, 2013). Additionally, this download also includes a Manifesto remix by 4F of subSonic Studio, Brno, who is responsible for album’s engineering as well.

The album is restricted to adults only not just because of explicit visual content of the booklet, but mainly as it is basically a personal story of a punk, who has lived his dream summed up by credo “sex, drugs & electro, baby!“ for ten years now. If you’ve always wanted to experience something like that, but you don’t want to have all the consequential hangovers, depressions, remorse and freaking out, you can have a musical concentrate in 42 minutes and 12 seconds. It all started with a midi keyboard he received as birthday present back in 2012. The young producer from southern Germany was always influenced by the vibes of Roots Reggae, Dub and as well Jungle and Drum and Bass music. It was merely a matter of time until he started producing his own sounds. Nothing is stronger than an idea, whose time has come. And the time for Karma Dub's first release has arrived.

Karma is an ancient concept, a Sanskrit word meaning 'act', 'action', or 'word'. The law of karma teaches us that all of our thoughts, words and actions begin a chain of cause and effect, and that we will personally experience the effects of everything we cause. It is clear that Karma Dub is deeply influenced by the eastern cultures and their music. Nevertheless he successfully manages to incorporate in his work heavy basslines and irie melodies, elements rooted in the Jamaican music.

Karma Dub’s first album is a higher level of concentrated musical meditation. Each tune leads to the next state of mind. It is therefore important to listen to the tunes in the correct order. Just press PLAY and close your eyes.

Imagine yourself being a wandering monk, who has chosen to live a life apart from or on the edges of society. You travel from orient to occident, gathering knowledge as you meet different cultures, practicing your musical spirituality. A remix in art often takes multiple perspectives upon the same theme. An artist takes an original work of art and adds their own take on the piece creating something completely different while still leaving traces of the original work. It is essentially a reworked abstraction of the original work while still holding remnants of the original piece while still letting the true meanings of the original piece shine through. Famous examples include the Marilyn prints of Andy Warhol (modifies colors and styles of one image), and The Weeping Woman by Pablo Picasso, (merges various angles of perspective into one view). Some of Picasso's other famous paintings also incorporate parts of his life, such as his love affairs, into his paintings. For example, his painting Les Trois Danseuses, or The Three Dancers, is about a love triangle.

Other types of remixes in art are parodies. A parody in contemporary usage, is a work created to mock, comment on, or make fun at an original work, its subject, author, style, or some other target, by means of humorous, satiric or ironic imitation. They can be found all throughout art and culture from literature to animation. Current television shows are filled with parodies such as South Park, Family Guy, and the Simpsons.

The internet has allowed for art to be remixed quite easily, as evidenced by sites like memgenerator.net (provides pictorial template upon which any words may be written by various anonymous users), and Dan Walsh's Garfieldminusgarfield.net (removes the main character from various original strips by Garfield creator Jim Davis). The new album of quiet, beautiful songs performed on piano and guitar by prolific ambient composer Bing Satellites and Engineers/Modern Painters main man Daniel Land.
Although both have worked together in the past (Bing has played on songs by Daniel's previous band Daniel Land & The Modern Painters, as well as part of the live version of Daniel's ambient project riverrun), this is the first full collaboration between the two.
The finale of a riverrun concert in Manchester included a grainy ambient guitar played over a treated piano track. The pair decided there should be more of this sort of thing.
The album features the stunning artwork of abstract painter Ade Hodges. You can find more of his artwork at www.facebook.com/adehodgesartist.

Blessed with a devotion to dub and roots culture and politicised by the inequalities that haunt a world of plenty, Red Star Martyrs have arrived as the latest incarnation of musician and producer Stanley Wood. As a member of cult Birmingham reggae outfit Route 81, Stanley learnt his trade as a guitarist and gigging musician before becoming part of guerrilla graffiti specialists and urban raconteurs Echo Base. Here he encountered for the first time the mystical world of the recording studio and within it, the wonders of the Roland Space Echo – a love affair was born.

The romance bloomed with the arrival of affordable technology, enabling those that dared to dream the chance to create their own Channel One studio. The logical outcome for Stanley was Shotgun Rockers. From producing original dubs for the Dub Nation sound system, Shotgun Rockers became recording artists for Zip Dog, Nubian and Tanty records at the moment when a new breed of dub was being formed, introducing the energy of European dance music to inspiration from the legends of the Jamaican dub.

Fast forward to the now and Red Star Martyrs exist as an open collective where roots and dub artists from all over the world are invited to contribute and collaborate, bringing a message of love, unity and political consciousness. Oh yeah, and to have fun too, because roots dub music is what makes us all smile, right?

The EP includes two tracks accompanied by the appropriate dubs for your personal recreation. “Insurrection” is a heavy stepper tune, followed by two exclusive mixes in one drop and breakbeat style. First appearance of Mrs Boo La La aka Bec Crispin on “Independence” spreading the rootical vibrations all the way.spreading the rootical vibrations all the way.

Now I know. I know how a music label can feel in releasing something that will generate a genre... or however a subgenre. I know it because today I decided to release Wighnetz and his Neural Kinesis. Perhaps you listened a lot of Neurofunk productions but certainly not a Progressive Neurofunk track, a Neurofunk DnB tune with an approach that combines elements of diverse styles. So I could imagine reading on the Wikipedia page about Progressive Neurofunk (in 2023!) and I can see among the lines: "First Progressive Neurofunk track in history of DnB could be considered Neural Kinesis by Wighnetz, released in 2013 on Shrammaka Recordings." Now download and listen to the future: I think you could be able to see those lines.

"Dance it, Dance all" is the 10th Easton Ellises creative commons single.

To mark the occasion, the band launched a successful 30 day fan funding (a.k.a. crowd funding) campaign in order to collect the funds necessary to press a vinyl record.

A producer pack was put up on the web for artists to remix and submit their own versions of the song. The response was phenomenal and "Dance it, Dance all" remixes were submitted from all over the world. Due to the limited amount of play time available on a vinyl record, only the original version, a Motel Costes Mix and the bands 6 favourite remixes were pressed onto the record and officially released in Montreal, Canada on May 17th 2012.

Included in this "Dance it, Dance all" release are the 12 cuts that the band really wanted to press on the record.
