johannes van bebber and Loom (aka Manosonique) from Mannheim (Germany) are of the new generation of digital music producers... People who produce tunes and put them online (on Soundcloud or whatever), but then leave it at that; people who are creative with sound but do not actively pursue recording artist careers. This is their first official release.

Aside from bedroom-producing Techno once in a while, these two here dabble freely in various styles and genres. They occasionally connect for collaborations with other producers here and there.

johannes van bebber has also been playing several traditional instruments since his childhood and does multimedia-live-performances at theaters and festivals in Frankfurt, Giessen and Berlin together with various people (under monikers like "musica practica," with a strong focus on theoretical & reflective approaches).

Loom has gained a standing as a DJ in the local Techno scene around Mannheim.

This is an important album for Projekt Luty for two reasons. It is the first album recorded in nine years; plus, it is the first one recorded in "studio" conditions so to speak, or at least was not recorded to casette tape like all the previous ones. Musically as always with Projekt Luty it is unpredictable, but at the same time surprisingly
coherent. Songs are locked within a tornado of swirling effects, simple tranceful repetitions of guitars and keyboards and occasional freakouts. All music as always is improvised but thanks to studio magic, was reinforced after recording with additional synth and drum tracks. It is dense, all the time balancing between order and disorder, alternately fun and dark, noisy and dreamy, always exciting and full of diy charm and jangle.

"Verdant Peal", 12th album by Secrets Of The 45 utilizes field recordings collected over two summers to create a set of summer-inspired soundscapes. Ambient, drone, noise, collage, tape music with hints of musique concrete join forces to create a diverse jungle of hazy, sweaty sonic paintings.

Birds in a forest, suburbian lawnmowers, children's voices, murky tape experiments, children's toys, distant conversations, prepared vocals emerging and collapsing from the sticky dark, with snippets of musical instruments - tribal drumming or swirling guitars - are sampled, looped and combined to create an effect of dense, disorienting heat much like a confusing dream during a nap in tall grass in the middle of a July day.

The third album by the band, "Staff" EP, was created in a duo, or even a trio Lech, the only constant member of the project, is responsible for the majority of music, and the arrangement and performance of vocal lines (as well as flute tracks) was taken care of by Agata, a vocalist with a wide studio and stage experience. The third, most important point of this triangle are the lyrics taken from a notable Polish poet, Leopold Staff.

This is a joint project by Secrets Of the 45 and romanian noise/ambient unit Nava Spatiala. Each project received three tracks of the other project and remixed them, using primarily only the track itself as basis for the remix. The resulting album is an exhilarating trip through glitchy landscapes, blurry drones,rumbling basslines, electronic chirps and whistles, enveloping the listener with alternating waves of noise and melodic hums, echoing in space, at the same time digital and organic.

Nava Spatiala enjoyed a lot playing around with SOT45 tracks and, at first, sampled what they liked. Then they took the parts and ran them through lots of delays, reverbs and various synthethic manipulaton techniques.Every track was performed and recorded live at the studio and compressed through some nice tubes.

Secrets of the 45 decided to take a
melody-oriented approach, immersing himself in the noisy world of Nava Spatiala and then through careful filtering picking out hints of melodies, then layering them into humming and whistling soundscapes, as well as reshaping them live via granulator software.

Just like the last one, this Deftechnixks album was recorded based on Deaf Techniques,
this time techniques DT01 (recorded without hearing the recorded track and without looking at the instrument) and to a larger extent DT11 (recorded without hearing the recorded track). This resulted in 12 songs, which, after a long consideration, were reduced to a six-track EP in order to not torture the listener too much. The lyrics were again written based on a stream of consciousness; the title and the look ofthe cover were selected out of all lyrics by a random number generator, as well as track order. The placement of cover elements were selected by another random generator, a two-year old.

The second album by Everywhere Kingdom follows the strict rules of the first release: All the sounds here are improvised, with no specific ideas as to style, rhythm, with open mind, letting whatever happens to happen. That said, this offering is quite different from the previous release - the recorded melodies, improvised using synths, guitars and effect pedals, were trimmed from meaningless meanderings and the most lyrical, trancelike repetitions were chosen and then meticulously layered atop one another in order to create bigger, sparkling wholes. However, apart from layering, no further processing was done post-recording.

The result is "2 (Blue)". Often not sounding improvised at all, due to the melodical motifs developing gradually and being repeated to achieve hypnotic effects. Reverbing walls of guitars, blurry or sharp clear synth melodies flowing and intertwining, bubbling and gurgling effects combine into a pleasant, if often bordering on noisy, hallucinogenic sound trip.

Jan Strach continues to experiment with accident and randomness in music, with this album trying to find balance between chaos and the creator's conscious choices.

Each song consists of 5 tracks: Drums, bass, keyboard, guitar, vocals. The recording consisted of recording (in one take) one track for each of the songs, then leaving it for a couple of days in order to forget them. After the pause, another track was recorded listening to the previous ones, in one take, forcing the musician to improvise on the go, in order of instruments given above. The lyrics are in english, which is not my native language, so they only partly have any sense, and partly are based on stream of consciousness and random associations. The title of each song was chosen purposely by the author, based on each song's lyrics. The album title was randomly chosen by generating random two words from all the lyrics. The main theme of the cove - a possum - was also chosen in random from all lyrics. The rest was added based on random associations. Thw hole was then colored by Jan Strach and his 2-year old son. The writings on the cover made with left hand, with closed eyes.

While preparing material for the new album, it appeared that between the previous album "Gdybym Umiał Mówić" and the present enough nice songs were created to be issued on a separate record. What sticks out on "Most" are three versions of the title songs, in very different arrangements. As always poj.wlkp tries to avoid obvious solutions and reaches for surprising stylistic and rhythmic measures, keeping in touch with the lyrical melodicism and intimate, somewhat dark atmosphere.

One day Stach and Jan Strach got together at Stan's place and all of a sudden felt an overwhelming urge to make music. Not to be discouraged by lack of any musical instruments, they gathered pots, pans, bottles and metallic objects and recorded this wonderful short album.

The dark and murky aspect of the reveller music has been stressed here, combining the black / white elegant image of singers from the 40s with an image of sad lovers, drowning in swamps, surrounded by flowers, wrinkled drunkards stumbling through empty streets" SOT 45

Whirling strings, looped and distorted pianos, elegant vocals turning into crumpled howls - alternately shining and dark atmospheres, retaining the melancholy of Fogg's music, but creating a trance-like underworld of their own, from the rather pretty orchestral tunes 1 i 2, through quite menacing tune 3, ending in a minimalistic "Patrzył...".

On February 2nd 2012,on the day of Candlemas, Secrets Of The 45 publish an album inspired by this holiday - a mixture of folklore and catholic symbolism. The whimsical title is a few words from various languages connected to the symbolism of the holiday, interweaving and combined. All the melodies on the record were created out of one church song. Imagining starless winter nights, empty fields covered in February ice, flickering candles in the windows of cottages, which were supposed to keep lightnings and wolvesaway from households, SOT 45 presents a set of minimalistic drones, transformed distant echoes of singing and organs, tumbling through the freezing landscape.

"Pawprinting EP" gives beginning to an exciting process of developing perfectlyrandom music arranged by a computer, without any involvement by the composer. The results you can hear on this cd are notbreathtaking, however the record had to appear in order to constitute a basis on which the research can be improved and continued. Guitar chords on all frets in long and short variations, as well as in groups of four, ans drum sounds have been introduced to a computer, and then played back using the "shuffle" method, with minimal initial presets in order to avoid monotony. Here are the results - accidental music arranged by a computer.

Another stylistic detour for Projekt Luty, this time employing a different set of collaborators - there is no humor here, but some genuinely interesting riffs, floating in space next to wordless vocalisations and disjointed acoustic folk. Things turn weirder when angry screaming and prepared guitar sets in, culminating in a 20-minute long vocal passage, processed electronically until only static and crackle remain.

"Toothless in deerland" is more trancelike than its predecessors, letting each sound present itself and draw the listener in, joined without hurry by a choir of semi-organic loops. Rattles, drones, elements moan and hiss, barely audible and recognizable. Some sounds seem to be there, but they are not. The source material was mainly concrete samples, which are still present raw and simple, completing the more melodic hums and stutters. No sound material was created for purpose of this cd, it was created using only prerecorded sounds.

Starting with growled noise-rock, slipping into no-wave experiments, then filling with echoing synths, nonsensical banging then takes a step into a crazy acid 303. Silence, more silence, and 2 deranged covers, closed nicely with a kooky punk-rock song. This album is perhaps the best illustration of the ever-going, never ending transition that Projekt Luty underwent during the period of their greatest activity.
