Release notes: "Wanting to create an album featuring an East meets West attitude without sounding like a hokey world Beat fusion album was not an easy task. I crafted some of these sounds in Ziko Iko Iko to mimic my emotions after watching a few South Korean horror films, the graphic and prolonged torture each character was going though captured my imagination. From pulling off nails and piano wires ripping the fingers off, I wondered what it would sound like to play the piano with just stubs to press the keys in. A chaotic mess I'm sure, but I crafted this album to not be a mess, to be a precise cut of Asian/Eastern music. Two Teeth In channels distorted rhythms of a futuristic street bazaar in a distopic Istanbul, with it's icy ambient synths cutting above the pounding street drums. Folding Hands calls to the forgotten temples an gods of Angkor Wat, glitch synths gibbering to a constant drum hoping for the rains to come and wash away the impurity of man. This has to be one of my favorite conceptual works and putting a lot of time and effort, three years to be exact, has tempered a new respect for music and cultures while holding fast to my own. I wish only to observe, not become these cultures. I find it more sincere and respectful to myself and the nature of man around me. Thanks to Zhang and the entire Bypass team for making this happen. release number twenty-six on fish recordings is here:oh my gosh! last friday i had the great plan to have a nice party weekend.after i left the library i went home and started to have some drinkswith my roommate. round about midnite we headed to ourfavourite minimal club to party a little. everything was quite nice, i hadsome more drinks and a good time with a nice girl. at about four in the morningi had a little argument with a stupid guy who tried to flirt with the girl i spent thewhole night with. i went out together with the guy and he really defeatedme in an ugly manner. i lost consciousness and when i woke up it wasbright daylight and i lay right across the pavement. all covered with blood.my purse and money were gone and i did not know where i was. so, i wenthome and thought about the past night. when my roommate saw me he wasshocked and told me that he did not know what happenend to me becausehe went to another girl's appartment to have some fun. well, thanks anyway.we had planned long before to visit a huge rave on that saturday night.i had no choice and got myself together and again go out to party hard.you wont believe it, but when we arrived at the location, i met the girl fromthe night before. i was very happy and told her what happened but she ignoredme. i did not know why. it made me sad and fucked me up. i started to drink a lotof liquor and passed out. when i woke up i was completely undressed except for myshorts and captivated to a bed. i did not know how i got there. the only thingi wanted to know was how i could escape from there. after several hours, agirl in a leather costume entered the room in which i was trapped. she told me somethingin a language i never had heard before. she opened the handcuffs and pointed at the door.i did not hesitate and ran out of the room. made my way back home (which was not that easybecause i was in some outer skirt-area of the city). when i arrivedat home, morning had broken. then i realized that the weekend was over and ihad to go to university to attend my economics class instantly. all i thought was: FUCK MONDAY!

Eemian (Aka Alejandro Remeseiro, Konsumprodukt) is the result of an investigation on ambient music. This investigation parts from a sentence that Alejandro read. Te text talked about an ambient music release and the author described the hearing experience as if "you can't dance this music, it's like sitting on a Glacier and waiting to se how it melts down". So Eemian is this, is an abstract approach on how a glacier should sound like. Moreover, the album has always direct references to those nature phenomena, all tracks are named referencing famous glaciers over the world. Finally the sound of Eemian is a properly crafted collection of textures and drones that smoothly are evolving through time. Remeseiro uses a reduced palette of sonorities even though the depth and structure of the pieces is kept producing an uneasy sensation that time isn't passing by.Finally we are proud to join a work like that to our catalogue because this si the kind of sound we like and the kind of relationships between landscape and sound that we like to defend and promote. A homage to Glaciers, a homage to the magnitude of nature and a beautiful drone experience.

Counterspark is the solo project of Johnny Utterback of Richmond, Virginia. A visual artist by trade, Johnny began experimenting in sound in 2006. From that point on, Counterspark has been a project of experimentation in the world electronic music. Rich textures and lush soundscapes with an underlying tone of optimism are all intertwined into the melancholy compositions that are Counterspark.The sounds of The Halpern Experiment were sourced from a "healing sounds" cassette, found in a thrift store amongst the piles of one hit wonders. Not finding any value in the cassette's listening experience, the tape was cut into loops and abstracted. With the focus on the textural elements of the tape and relationships of the melodies, the project became a healing method in itself. Providing refuge from reality in a swirling world of analog color and warmth, The Halpern Experiment was two years in the making.With mastering by Tanner Menard, the eight movements truly come to life.

Another genre-defying effort from sea.envy starts off this battle of the beats, coming at you dark and hard. This one is just begging for a response. Psy-tech ninja Deformaty answers that call, bringing an equally dark tune to the table. With a large portion of acid squelch and a kick thumping away like a heartbeat on overdrive, all layered upon a bed of tribal percussion, the infection is contained, but not without further damage. In a metphorical creation of something from nothing, UK trance guru John Dalling spins a melodic twist on the original biological threat. Feeling the breath of new life, the virus continues to spread, but all is not lost as Chris Firenze steps in to end it all for certain. Wielding his mighty minimal techno weaponry, the threat is contained. It is safe to say, that in this battle there are no losers - and the true winner is you.
