ARTIST STATEMENT:
This track was made of samples from all previous releases. Grouped into 3 blocks of 6 releases, I took 6 random 10 second samples from each release in each block for a total of 36 samples for each track. I then put together each set of samples sequentially, making slight adjustments for pitch an volume. Each of the 3 tracks were then overlaid on each other, again with slight changes in volume, and then stretched to approximately 20 minutes. I added an additional element of static on the end of the entire project.

The Dystimbria label seeks to bring artists working in ambient and in noise to a creative crossroads.  Each release in the catalogue is a continuation of the larger project, each one utilizes samples from the previous releases in the continuum.
