ABOUT DYSTIMBRIA:
Dystimbria is a netlabel offering works by composers exploring sounds between what might be called 'noise music' and 'ambient music.  Each release on this netlabel appropriates sound sources from previous releases on the label, so every release is inter-connected with the others.

ATTRIBUTION:
Samples were used from all Dystimbria tracks 1 through 15.

ARTIST STATEMENT:
I focused primarily on pulling apart Scott Lawlor's intro from DYS015 "The Ebb and Flow of the Cycle of Time" using melodyne's polyphonic editor. Using my voice, i tried to harmonize with the noises. i worked in ableton live using max for live for effects and dirtied things up with some self-made IRs in altiverb. i was inspired by speciation because these sounds are evolving. so it is broken into four sections, each a separate species, but all inspired by the same noises.
